Characteristic "hens" themed restaurant in the center of Pavia, for lunch a fixed menu with a starter of cold cuts and cheeses, choice between three first courses (super risottos) and two desserts, the Barbera wine they offered us was excellent! We had already been there and it is a confirmation

E' meglio fare poco e farlo bene piuttosto che mettere in menu 100 piatti e farli in maniera mediocre. In questo posto ho mangiato dei risotti che meritano veramente , antipasti buoni e dolci pure. Personale veloce e attento. Da provare sicuramente....

It's always a pleasure to go and eat a good risotto in the center of Pavia; unfortunately a bad thing, intolerable for me, is when, after having ordered starters, first courses and wine, the starters are brought and after not even having finished them the risottos are served. It is unconscionable, not leaving time to eat what you order. And so it also happened with the first courses, that after a short pause to sip the wine, we find the waiter asking if we were okay like this, with still half a plate of risotto. Not to end it here, after finishing the risotto, we chat and sip the wine, but at a certain point the waiter decides to take away the plates, the bread and the bottle with still some wine inside (and not enough to accept it). I believe service is just as important as the quality of the food. I'm doing this review because I care about this place and it's always a pleasure to eat your dishes, if it weren't for these little things that you don't give the right weight to.

Excellent fixed price solution a stone's throw from San Michele. Superior quality of food and wine: starter, first course, dessert and coffee. The service was particularly fast, a smile wouldn't hurt 😊

Nice place! Everything ok, very small menu to prepare with seasonal and 0 km ingredients. Everything good, service ok and price adequate. Well done!

Absolutely highly recommended! Beyond the excellent food we had, what struck us were the courtesy and attention of the staff. I made it known at the beginning that I was lactose intolerant, so they brought an appetizer of naturally lactose-free meats and cheeses so I could have some too. When ordering the first courses, they offered to prepare mine with oil instead of butter (and it was still exceptional) and I was also able to eat dessert at the end of the meal. There are also options for vegetarians. We had the mixed starter of cured meats and cheeses, a very delicate mint risotto and an equally good sausage and bonarda risotto, finishing with a carrot and walnut cake and a pear and chocolate cake. We left the place satisfied and feeling pampered. Thank you!

HI! We discovered this place while randomly walking around the city and it immediately struck us from the outside so we tried to ask for a table for two but it was full and invited us to come back later, so we did. When we returned at the indicated time they let us sit in a room on the lower floor than the one we had seen and it was all very beautiful and evocative. The waitress who looked after us was always smiling and very kind even with the place full. The menu is small but valid, the food is prepared well, well, and you will notice it immediately. We tried an exceptional platter, a Barolo and sausage risotto and an exquisite braised ravioli, two lovely wines and off we go, everything was perfect. Obviously it is more than recommended but if you book in advance it's better 😁💜🌟 thanks again for the beautiful memory you gave us, see you next time 🙏🏽
