P.S. If you want to be "carefree," book...like all rarities, you have to earn them.

A well-deserved 5 stars! The menu is simple and unfussy, as is the taverna. The food is quick and the service is good! Prices are reasonable (thank goodness), and here you can find excellent local dishes like risotto with sausage and Bonarda. The appetizer with homemade cured meats and cheeses is also highly recommended. It's a shame we didn't get to try the desserts; the only thing left was the chocolate cake.

Very good risotto, well-made, flavorful, fresh.
The rest was good too, but the rossotto needed something extra.
I'd appreciate a wine list; it's not the first place I've found this lacking. It seems like a trend I don't understand at all.
When I return to Pavia, I'll definitely be back.

A pleasant discovery. A very charming and quaint place with exposed brick and original wooden ceilings. Fixed menu for €15 including:
Appetizer, cured meats and cheese
Choice of three first courses, we opted for two risottos, one with sausage and Bonarda, the other with rosemary and lemon...to say they were delicious is an understatement! I would have had seconds and three more!!!
For dessert, a chocolate cake.
We added two glasses of still Barbera Pavese...and we were incredulous: it was really still, besides being excellent.
What can I say...well done Luigi, we'll be back!!

During the week, only the daily menu is served. But we have to say that the food was very, very tasty, and the service was excellent. The rice dishes are fantastic and highly recommended.
There's little variety and no beer. We didn't like the wine, but there's no accounting for taste.

Little place discovered by chance, offering a few dishes (but really good) with a fixed price formula for lunch: appetizer, first course, water, dessert and coffee for 12 Euros. The environment is simple, only indoors and no air conditioning, our table was behind or even "inside" the cash register, the bathroom "meh", but pleasant despite everything. The service with only one waiter but kind and industrious. When we went we would have liked to book but the phone was unreachable all morning. Anyway, at the end of the day, honestly, we even licked our chops!
