We went for dinner on Saturday, November 1st, and even though we had booked very late, they welcomed us. The service was very fast, the portions generous, the food excellent, and the value was very reasonable. The appetizer was exceptional, highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant with friends. The food was delicious. We had a trio of pasta dishes: pappardelle with wild boar, chitarra pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle, and chitarra pasta with ragù. All three were delicious. The arrosticini were delicious, the staff was friendly, and I would definitely recommend it.

Every time I'm in the area, La Portella is a must-visit for the authentic goodness of the dishes served and the cozy, rustic atmosphere. I love the cleanliness and elegance of the place, and I find the service to be quick and attentive to customer needs, with particular attention to food intolerances. Reservations aren't always necessary, even though the place is quite popular.

Welcoming place, very friendly staff. We had the pappardelle with wild boar sauce, which was amazing, even those who don't like game loved it. The soups were good, and the platter of cold cuts and cheeses included some amazing pecorino cheeses. In short, we loved everything...well done, well done!

15/10/2025: Everything was perfect! One of the best restaurants with a good quality/price ratio. We opted for the multi-course menu and everything was delicious! To make us happy, they even offered us two starters. The owner was super kind and available to give us tips on what to see in the area.
23/09/2025: Delicious Italian cuisine with a regional twist. The 5-course menu is highly recommended. An appealing wine selection.

04/12/2025: Spectacular Lord of the Rings-themed venue. The staff is super friendly, especially the owner's father, Vittorio, who is knowledgeable and welcoming. We highly recommend the arrosticini, which are top-notch. We'll definitely be back.
07/11/2025: I'm staying a few hundred meters away on a business trip, and I found the best arrosticini I've found in L'Aquila. The owners are incredibly kind and the staff are friendly. All accompanied by images from The Lord of the Rings. I'll definitely be returning with my partner.
