La Portella is a guarantee. A warm and attentive welcome makes you feel right at home. The food is excellent, prepared with excellent ingredients and great care. The service is impeccable, always present but never intrusive. The icing on the cake: truly excellent value for money, a rare find. A place to return to with pleasure and to recommend without hesitation.

A very characteristic place, just what you're looking for on a weekend in the mountains. Everything was perfect; the meat was excellent, the cheeses and cured meats excellent, and the spaghetti with truffle and porcini mushrooms was unsurpassed. We drank a Montepulciano Abruzzese Cataldi Madonna Malandrino, a perfect pairing, I highly recommend. What can I say? My sincerest compliments to the entire staff (definitely a family-run business). The secret to their success is commitment, sacrifice, and passion. I will definitely return next year and recommend it to everyone. VERY HONEST value for money. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

A truly pleasant place, with a refined and welcoming atmosphere that immediately conveys a sense of warmth. The management feels family-run, and this is reflected in the attentiveness and genuineness of the welcome, which was impeccable from the first moment. The wine selection is excellent, well-recommended and perfectly paired with the dishes. The kitchen is sure of itself: the pappardelle with ragù were exceptional, flavorful, and well-balanced; the truffle-wrapped egg was simply delicious; the grilled lamb was perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. The finale was a spectacular tiramisu, with the perfect base and perfect consistency, a sign of great attention to detail. A complete experience, made up of good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and true hospitality. A place worth recommending and, above all, revisiting. A well-deserved 5 stars.

A truly welcoming place, and the staff were incredibly kind, especially the owner. We started with house appetizers and a selection of top-quality cheeses. The first courses were excellent, especially the tagliolini with mushrooms and truffle. But the second courses were truly exceptional, from the tender, juicy fillet, perfectly cooked, to the lamb that melted in your mouth. I'll definitely be back.

We booked this restaurant for a lunch for 20 people, recommended by local friends. The staff was super helpful. We spent about €30 per person, eating a generous appetizer of cured meats and cheeses we'd never tasted before, truly artisanal and exceptional, a first course each, some desserts, liqueurs, and coffee. We found the price to be fair, especially considering the wine and the impeccable service (they served us all almost at the same time). Special mention for the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and truffles, mouth-watering.

05/01/2026: Excellent service, friendly and quick, attentive to every request. Fresh homemade food, stellar handmade pasta, and a 10/10 presentation, as well as the quality of the ingredients. Welcoming, clean, and well-furnished restaurant. Pet-friendly, very close to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a wonderful village worth visiting.
30/12/2025: Excellent experience. Very friendly, kind, and attentive service, with the room management being organized with professionalism. At lunch, the menu is rather simple (presented on an A4 sheet; even a wooden folder with a logo would have been more presentable, but the quality is out of place), and I also found the wine list a bit sparse: small aspects could be improved, probably different at dinner. A note of great attention: there were sanitary pads available in the bathroom, a rare and truly appreciated detail. 🍽 Excellent dishes Saffron tagliatelle with lamb stew: devastating, perfectly creamed. Fried pizza with Montepulciano pecorino and fig compote (I don't remember if it was right) was spectacular: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not at all greasy. 🏡 Not a very large place, with rooms (especially interesting in winter for me): reservations recommended. 🚗 Parking available in front or a few minutes' walk away. 🌄 Fabulous setting and surrounding area. Highly recommended, definitely worth the trip. Well done everyone.

19/01/2026: Even though we had to call at the last minute, they managed to find us accommodations. We received a warm welcome from the owner, who was very helpful and kind. The delicious local dishes, homemade deserts, and the pleasant atmosphere of the location will make you fully appreciate the experience. We also really enjoyed the samples and the complimentary liqueur. We will be happy to return :)
18/01/2026: Today we went to the Cristallo di Neve restaurant in Monte Livata and we can't help but rave about it! I tried to make a reservation on Friday for Sunday, but it was fully booked. I kindly asked to be notified if there were any cancellations because we were going with a couple of friends who hadn't been skiing. Eventually, they managed to find us a spot, and today, despite our late arrival due to traffic controls, they welcomed us with incredible kindness and helpfulness, taking care of every detail. The owner even offered a taste of a special dish and amaro at the end of the meal—spontaneous gestures that made the experience even more special. Everything was exquisite, and you could clearly sense the love and passion they put into their work, as well as their pleasure in taking care of their customers. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for helping make our day on the snow unforgettable!
