I came with a group of friends. The experience was fantastic. Located next to Sonnino's main square, the food is excellent, with super-fresh porcini mushrooms, brought in that day.
The goat was delicious!
The bread and pasta are homemade, and the appetizer was good and plentiful.
The prices are affordable and the service excellent; you can tell they're committed to quality. I'd definitely go back!

We discovered Osteria La Portella by chance while strolling through Sonnino, and it was a truly pleasant surprise! The dining room is warm and welcoming, and during the day you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. The owner is extremely kind and helped us carefully choose our dishes. The menu features many dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and the results are excellent (the porcini mushroom salad is highly recommended). I will definitely return to Osteria La Portella as soon as I'm in Sonnino again!

We were pleasantly surprised by this trattoria! The food was delicious, with fresh, high-quality local produce.
I had an appetizer with fresh local figs, a variety of local goat and pecorino cheeses, and a mix of local cured meats.
The first course was cecapreti pasta with goat sauce, and the second course was pot-cooked goat cutlets in white sauce.
The welcome was courteous and friendly, and the staff was attentive and helpful. The place was clean and welcoming, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The value for money was excellent. We highly recommend this trattoria to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable gastronomic experience. We will definitely be back!

The Osteria La Portella restaurant is a family-run establishment located in the center of Sonnino in a beautifully renovated building. We were extremely impressed by the friendly service and the quality of the ingredients. The dishes are exceptional: homemade pasta, Sonnino-style goat, and snails. We will definitely be back. I'm updating this review almost a year later for another truly positive experience. Ignazio, his wife, and his entire family made us feel at home and delighted us with their pasta dishes and a traditional lamb cacciatore. We also discovered the truly remarkable Abbuoto wine from the Monti Cecubi winery. Many compliments and we look forward to returning soon.

A true jewel for those who love authentic flavours: this restaurant offers typical Sonnino dishes with great care and passion. Local cheeses, artisanal cured meats, continuing with first and second courses and concluding with excellent desserts. Each course tells the tradition of the territory. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service kind and attentive. An experience that tastes like home, genuine and satisfying. Absolutely worth trying!!!

Un'esperienza culinaria superiore! Il locale è molto carino e accogliente, e il proprietario con la filgia ci hanno accolti con una cordialità e simpatia che ci hanno fatto sentire subito a nostro agio.
Abbiamo gustato i ciaccapreti al sugo di capra, una delizia unica con la capra cotta alla perfezione, morbidissima. L'abbacchio alla cacciatore era la fine del mondo: succoso e saporito, semplicemente perfetto. La bistecca di vitella era cotta a puntino, e i carciofi e cicoria di contorno erano deliziosi. Per concludere un buon tiramisù ed un limoncello della casa gentilmente offerto. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero eccellente. Ogni piatto ci ha conquistato, e torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo!
