On the way to Montalcino, we decided to stop in the wonderful city of Buonconvento. And we found a restaurant there, where I tried the best meat fillet in my life, it was very tasty. And I really liked the service. This is a delicious place, where many Italians eat. Real Italian cuisine.

We two pilgrims to Rome arrived at midday VERY hot and sweaty, and were kindly welcomed and immediately offered water. We ate stuffed eggplant, risotto with courgette flowers, pannacotta with fruit, and quaffed local wine plus espresso. By far the best meal we have had in Italy. And we only had one plate of each course which we shared between us. The savoury courses were beautifully divided in the kitchen and arrived at the table looking perfect. The staff were very kind. A very happy experience.

Excellent quality of the food offered, with innovative and revisited ideas, but always in tradition.
Then what about the possibility of eating outdoors in the lively streets of the village.
A few small imperfections in the service, but overall 5 stars deserved!

A good address with a short and efficient menu...and which seems very popular with tourists like us, the room was stormed by English and French speakers, the service is fluid thanks to the waiters' mastery of English 😉

Really informal place, but certainly splendid. It is worth taking a tour, for the quality of the food, the hospitality and the remarkable beauty of the places, both from a cultural and natural point of view. The Val d'Orcia is magnificent.

Sono stata a cena in questo ristorante di sabato sera. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato, il personale ci ha accolto con molta cortesia. Il menù offre piatti tipici della zona e qualche pietanza di pesce. Noi abbiamo preso un picio al ragù di cinghiale e un tataki di tonno, tutto molto buono e in porzioni abbondanti. Servizio veloce e cortese. Prezzi nella media del luogo…considerata la bottiglia di rosso di Montalcino abbiamo speso 90€ in due. Consigliato.

Il locale è in posizione comoda ed abbastanza centrale, locale carino e ben tenuto, accogliente, personale gentilissimo e disponibile, menù interessante con piatti gustosi perfettamente preparati, porzioni normali e prezzi nella media.
