La Pizzoleria In Catania

We came here, but before we even ordered, my friend wasn't feeling well. I mentioned this (I speak Italian) and said I'd come back later alone, perhaps to pick up some food. At that point, you're half-ignored, treated like a tourist, and they're very unfriendly. I did indeed go back later on my own and was again treated unfriendly. Only by the waiter outside, not by the waiter inside. The pizzeria is in a nice square, and the terrace looks inviting. Inside, the lighting is far too bright. I ordered a glass of wine and a pizza. The wine is the most disgusting I've ever had in Italy. So I ordered a bottle of wine and sent the glass back. They didn't charge me for it either. When I received the pizza, it seemed very greasy; the oil was dripping all over it. However, it tasted very good. As I sat there for a while, the waiter became more friendly. I ended up taking a pizza home for my friend, which was also very good. In short: The food was good, but the staff aren't very friendly. It's as if they'd rather you not be there. I wouldn't recommend it; there are certainly much better places where you'd be treated better.

Pizza diavola was good, more filling than usual in this type of pizza, dough was ok, service was ok. We waited 5 minutes for the food.

Delicious pizza and friendly staff

After two bad experiences in the city, I ordered two pizzas and they were ready in 10 minutes. The pizza was good and the ingredients were plentiful. Recommended for families, especially for the short wait and availability.

Our pasta Norma was delicious. Service mechanical. No smile, no warmth. Small glass of wine and I resent the cover charge being added to the bill.
