Frankly... more than 14 euros for a generous slice of Margherita, even in a strictly regulated manner weighing the right 750 grams—and, if you like, precisely because it's right—seems excessive to me, even given its reputation and repeat purchases. Personally, it doesn't motivate me to repeat purchases, and then, as I've read elsewhere, there's something about mozzarella that doesn't "convince" me as it does in similar places with the same "historical" appeal. To put it bluntly: nowadays, and sometimes, even a "tradition" can become a habit, and decades-old quality can become a sort of self-imposed compulsion, a sort of anticipation. It doesn't always fit perfectly with every dish, in the same daily experience. Maybe not here. Here, perhaps, quality has perpetually interwoven itself with every order since 1964, after C... However, aside from the admirable academic balances of connoisseurs, regarding crispiness, etc. ..to the "common" palate, more than a decent slice of pizza, which you may or may not like, and even a bit heavy, at least this time, I didn't find. And why waste 14 euros at the risk of it happening again? Maybe I'm overreacting in my analysis... you can narrow this review down to a single "run"... ..or not, wait a minute, since 1964, it's happened over the years, to go there with a renewed spirit. And to come away a bit perplexed, with the distinct feeling of having spent more than I received. Guys. Milan. It's the "idea" of being there. Then the actual experience... varies.
Actually: you know what I say? Come back! That way you'll let me know... in the meantime, I'm off to have a couple of slices somewhere else with friends. Delicious, no fuss. And family-friendly (as it probably was in 1964).
But maybe the city was different too. Pleasantly, and nothing but genuine, around a table, in the cool of a well-spent summer evening, convivial...
before it became... a "tradition" at almost 20 euros a kilo.
After a terrible loss, it was one of the first evenings I went out in search of a bit of "traditional" warmth and relaxation... and I found the distracting predictability of a self-satisfied profit in vintage values on a dish that ultimately makes you say... "I don't know, maybe."
Well. No big deal. Welcome back, Life.
Maybe I'll even throw in a couple of bitters to help digest the mozzarella with its crunchy crust, etc. ... so at least I can fall asleep.
And here we go again.
I mentioned this personal thing about mourning so that the Manager could try to address my "exaggerated" expectations compared to my state of mind. In reality... I had a simple expectation. Eating a good slice of pizza at a price I subjectively assumed was reasonable and manageable, even though it was displayed. It wasn't like that.
A shot of life. Let's put it that way.

Very good pizza by the slice, just the right amount of crunch. The only flaw is that it's perhaps a little too cheesy. There's not much variety in the flavors, but that's something you can appreciate. Service is fast and friendly.
A bit pricey for the location.

Decent pizza, 3 stars because it left me a little acidic, and not just me.
However, the price is too high.

As usual, a quality pizza. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The extra ingredients are always of high quality. The only thing I'd like to point out to first-time visitors is: avoid coming on weekends. You risk ruining the experience due to the wait. Unfortunately, it's a very popular place, and the wait (especially on Saturday nights) is the price you pay.
Otherwise, as already mentioned, the pizza is always high-quality and the staff is very friendly.
