We had lunch at this restaurant after visiting the Castle. The atmosphere was quiet, though busy, and the food and bill were fair. Recommended.

A welcoming place with a family atmosphere. We were offered a small welcome aperitif of salami and prosecco. The menu features a few traditional Piedmontese dishes, but they're all very good. We tried the appetizers (pork mocetta with fresh porcini mushrooms and eggplant flan) and the three first courses: tajarin with mushrooms, gnocchi from the Varaita Valley with cheese (delicious), and plin with butter and thyme. The portions are generous. A good selection of Piedmontese wines. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Ample parking in front of the restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

After a wonderful visit to Manta Castle, we stopped at this trattoria for lunch on Saturday. The menu features simple but very good dishes and fair prices. The interior is well-maintained and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended!

A delightful surprise! We found this restaurant on Google and, based on the positive reviews, chose Piola del Barbon for lunch before visiting Castello della Manta. We couldn't have chosen better! Delicious dishes, homemade pasta, superb dessert, kind and attentive staff, and an incredible bill! €40 for two! We had two appetizers, two first courses, one dessert, delicious Dolcetto wine, water, and coffee! Highly recommended!

Went to celebrate retirement, found excellent food, very attentive and friendly staff, very kind and professional owner, available for every need. Can't give more than five stars, but it deserves every one.

22/05/2026: On a CAI outing, we stopped for a simple Merenda sinoira. The place is decorated in the style of a Piola mountain chalet. The dishes are delicious, simple, and original. Water, wine, and beer are plentiful. The table was carefully set, as if we were guests for a Sunday lunch. The cooking is by the kind owner, and the service is friendly and attentive, managed by her husband. He's also a small artisan of little houses and trinkets; ask to visit his workshop; he'll be happy to help.
