This piadina shop is one of the newest additions to the avenue, but it has integrated with surprising ease. There's already another one a few meters away, yet the experience here is paradoxically different. This place focuses less on the simplicity of quick takeout and more on a thoughtful piadina, almost revisited in a modern way yet deeply rooted in tradition. You can tell by the dough, rougher and more authentic, and by the preparation, clearly designed to be enjoyed sitting at a table, not eaten in a rush. The interior is refined, modern, and welcoming, designed for lingering. The digital ordering system also works very well: it allows you to create customized piadinas with great freedom. You can go simple—ham, turkey, mozzarella, no sauces—and get a soft, balanced, and surprisingly flavorful result. Or you can go overboard, going for the umami, playing with just sauces, olive pâté, super-spreadable cheeses, and bold flavors. It works either way. A significant bonus: it's a paradise for introverts. You order, customize, pay, and eat without having to talk to anyone, if you don't want to. Total peace. Excellent execution, a pleasant atmosphere, and a piadina that manages to be modern without forgetting its origins. A place that invites you to return.

It's reasonably priced. It arrives at just the right temperature, whether sweet or savory. I highly recommend it.

THE PIADINERIA Viale XX Settembre

Passing through Trieste yesterday, December 6, 2025, I was surprised to find a completely different atmosphere: a more refined setting, reasonable wait times, and above all, kind and helpful staff. Excessively long waits, the order was incorrect, the piadina wasn't remade, but the unwanted ingredient was clumsily removed, the staff was poorly trained, and the place was poorly cleaned.
