La Pescheria In Stresa

We were craving lake fish, and following a recommendation, we ended up at this charming restaurant on Isola dei Pescatori. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a terrace overlooking the lake. We chose an excellent grilled freshwater fish (two types of trout and whitefish), which was truly tasty and perfectly cooked (very fresh fish) without any unnecessary condiments (just a tasty flavored oil), garnished with excellent baked potatoes. The dessert was also delicious (a lemon tart and a warm chocolate cake with fiordilatte ice cream and passion fruit cream). The service was prompt and prompt, and the bill was surprisingly (in a good way) just €56.

A very nice restaurant for being on a small island in Lake Maggiore. The pasta with sauce is perfect, it is al dente and the sauce melts in your mouth. All the fish dishes are good since they are fresh, freshly caught. The waiters are polite but above all the owner who is the nicest and most helpful. Highly recommended!

A wonderful discovery, the best restaurant on the island for us! The dishes are delicious and very reasonably priced. A special mention for the truffle risotto. I recommend it!

A wonderful experience where great food, breathtaking views and familiar smiles come together. It's a shame you can't have it "on your doorstep" because it would certainly be a place of the heart to return to not only for important occasions but also to share a good dish and a smile that warms the heart.

Family lunch, with granddaughter. We had a great time: mixed appetizers, lake grills and green pappardelle with fish sauce. Everything had a very delicate flavor and was excellent value for money! The owner and the dining room staff were very kind and fast. Special attention was paid to children. Not easy to find in tourist locations! If interested, dogs allowed.!

Ottima scelta per il pranzo di oggi. La signora Maria Pia ci ha accolto trasmettendoci tutta la sua passione per questo mestiere. Antipasto misto di filetti di lago molto ben presentato, delicato e giusto nelle porzioni. A seguire due primi: pappardelle verdi al sugo bianco di pesce e carciofi, ravioli ripieni di pesce con salsa allo zafferano e olive. Il tutto innaffiato da un buon prosecco. I dolci, torta "del giorno" al limone (morbidissima!) e cheese cake (rigorosamente fatti in casa), hanno concluso il nostro piacevole pranzo. Noi abbiamo prenotato appena sbarcati sull'isola, è consigliato farlo. Rapporto qualità prezzo assolutamente in linea con la proposta. Siamo stati molto bene. Ringraziamo la signora Maria Pia per la marmellata di fichi che ci ha regalato. Buona continuazione e buon lavoro allo staff.
