It wasn't my first time... I must say it's always a magnificent place because of the location. The cuttlefish carpaccio, the red mullet, and the fagottelli are unique in their preparation and flavor! The pairing wines are simply magnificent! Some dishes left a bitter taste in my mouth, especially the marinated amberjack with almonds and chufa. It lacked crunch and was a bit too bitter, and the shrimp with Jerusalem artichokes and oxidized apricots didn't quite "hold together" as a whole. The lobster, for example, was beautiful but slightly overpowering in flavor, or at least not quite standing out. The dessert isn't Michelin-starred; despite the sprinkling of bottarga, it's still just a simple ice cream with peaches on the side. These days, for example, realistic fruit creates true works of art and leaves a surprise in the mouth.

A dream come true, overlooking the most beautiful terrace in Rome. The dining room moves with the perfection of an orchestra, and the cuisine is simply astonishing in the best sense of the word, a sensation you must experience at least once in your life.

A well-deservedly starred restaurant. We are at the highest levels. Absolutely worth a try.

My husband and I had the most unforgettable experience at La Pergola celebrating our 8th anniversary. The 10-course menu was impeccable, the wine recommendations were really personalized and the service was amazing! Friendly staff from entrance to table, everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We received extra love with the special occasion - desserts, and more desserts, and a fresh bouquet of floral and vegetable arrangement. The only regret is that we could not bring the lovely bouquet back home to the US. This is probably the most worthy 3-star Michelin experience one could ever get!

It's worth trying at least once in your life. It's an experience where technique surpasses raw materials.

Top notch restaurant. They have the best view in Rome. Perched atop a hill, the view is far superior to Janiculum Hill. The food was absolutely amazing. And for a Michelin star restaurant - copious! Absolutely stand out 10 course menu, which felt like 24 because the first course consisted of 4 or 5 seperate dishes and the dessert course was 3! The service, friendliness and all-round experience was just wonderful. And Heinz Beck himself came out to greet us. Could not have been more perfect.

Listen, eatin’ at La Pergola is a trip, kid. It’s like you’re stuck right between somethin' wicked beautiful and somethin’ that just feels heavy as hell. The view of Rome from up there? Absolute dynamic. It’s so light and crazy it almost makes you forget all the everyday garbage down on the streets. But the second you step inside, the whole vibe flips. It gets wicked stuffy, like you walked into a museum that’s stuck in the old days and refuses to change. It’s so fancy it hurts, which makes the service feel less like a nice dinner and more like a stiff, robotic act. Chef Beck’s classic plates? Yeah, the technique is solid, no doubt. But the menu runs on such safe, predictable tracks that you don't get any of that real excitement or surprise anymore. By the end of the night, when they hit you with an absolute phone number of a bill, the reality hits you like a ton of bricks. It makes you wonder if all this tryin' to look perfect just completely killed the actual soul of the food. It’s a gorgeous joint, sure, but the heavy weight of the old-school tradition totally smothers the wicked light feeling a great meal is supposed to give you.

There are so many English reviews here, so I wanted to add my 2 cents in Chinese. In my opinion, this is the best in the world!! First of all: 1. The wine pairings are unbeatable! Sweet wine served with Château d'Yquem?! Red wine served with a 1985 Barolo—wow, so generous! I also had a very pleasant chat with Somme. The three white wines were all unique—one served in a stainless steel container, another in skin contact—each with its own ingenuity. 2. I was blown away by the squid made in a centrifuge! Pea and olive oli paired with baby squid was absolutely amazing. Each course had a different bread to accompany it!! 3. The service was top-notch. They had a water menu (although I only recognized Fiji and Pana, and there was also €180 mineral water, which I didn't try 🙂). 4. They changed the tablecloth after each course! This is so important for someone like me who tends to spill food!! 5. The c/mocktail menu is comprehensive, and the half-bottle (375ml) wine list offers a wide selection. While the by-the-glass option is a bit pricey (1 glass - Dom 90 Euros), the pairings are incredibly generous. 6. And lastly, there's the customizable ice cream!! I chose dark chocolate + coconut + cocoa. It was so delicious! By the second course, I was already debating whether CTBF or this place was better. I felt they were about equal, but I think this is the best restaurant in the world outside of New York!! All the Michelin-starred restaurants in Japan, Paris, and London pale in comparison. Highly recommended!

Went to La Pergola to celebrate an anniversary and in my opinion was the very definition of the perfect dining experience. It was a masterclass in fine dining with the most thoughtful and flavorful dishes. The restaurant itself has the best view of Rome imaginable and I immediately felt at home thanks to the kind staff. I can easily say it was the best meal I’ve ever had. The service was magnificent as well as each dish. Everything fit together perfectly to create a truly memorable experience.
