La Pergola In Gesualdo

The location is very nice, although I think it is certainly more enjoyable in spring The owner is very friendly and the service is good, the wine is excellent....the only thing that was out of place in my opinion was the bill, 43 euros per person I think is a bit high in relation to the place and the level of the dishes, but it's my humble opinion. Overall I liked it.

Located in the countryside of Gesualdo, it has a lot of outdoor space, including an area with a small swimming pool where tables are placed in the summer and are also used for small ceremonies. The main internal room is elegantly furnished and the tables are arranged in such a way as to leave ample space between one and the other. The menu is not very extensive and is mostly based on appropriately revisited local cuisine dishes. There are often also some off-menu items of the day. The raw materials used are of high quality and the presentation is equally good. The service is efficient although rather slow and you end up waiting a long time between one course and another. Average prices.

sono tornato alla Pergola dopo una ventina d'anni. ci andavo spesso quando mi trovavo dai miei parenti in Irpinia: Tonino presentava una straordinaria cucina territoriale, all'epoca decisamente sopra la media dei locali di zona. ed è stato bello aver trovato oggi gli stessi sapori, la stessa capacità di valorizzare i prodotti del territorio con sapienza ed inventiva... sì, i prezzi non sono bassi, ma neanche la qualità. consigliato!

Sometimes you start looking for a place where you can have a pleasant culinary experience and maybe you have that place right next to you. It's been years since I went to the "Pergola" in Gesualdo, an excellence of this area and yesterday with some dear friends we decided to go. I believe that they too undoubtedly appreciated and shared this pleasant journey into the flavors of Irpinia, the special dishes prepared with care and skill by Franca. The combinations, the exaltation of genuine and top quality products leave no room for anything other than the pleasure of tasting these delicacies. The venue is beautiful. The attention and courtesy of the owners and employees is noteworthy. I would like to suggest that Antonio and Franca take more care of the external environments because such a beautiful location deserves it.
