21/06/2025: Very fresh fish and simple, but very good dishes

19/06/2025: Lunch, Thursday 19 June at 1 pm, only customers. I live abroad and this restaurant has always been a must-see during my stops in Milan. A safe place to eat good raw and cooked fish and Sicilian specialties. Unfortunately today was disappointing. The raw appetizer was good and very fresh, the seafood risotto was mediocre, because the bay leaves covered the other flavors. The calamari were tender but their delicate flavor was totally destroyed by the bay leaves. 4 mussels, one of which was closed, three clams and two shrimp adorned the plate without however adding that touch of seafood flavor that makes seafood risotto a feast for the palate. After coffee, even though we were the only and I repeat only customers, no one asked us if we would like a bitter or a limoncello. No obligation, however...Small negative note, in the bathroom, with the restaurant empty, the wastepaper basket used to dry your hands was overflowing. No one had bothered to check that everything was in order and impeccable. The owners looked like those who have or are about to give up the place. And this could be an explanation. And who knows? Too bad.
