A nice little restaurant with a great view. We have just stumbled upon this gem with my wife while walking around the town. The service is great, the food is amazing, and the setting is spectacular. We have got to sit outside looking at the old town. While waiting for the food we enjoyed a cheeky glass of Aperol Spritz and enjoyed the view. The pasta is next-level and the tiramisu and chocolate soufflet after are not to be skipped.

Our dining experience here was very positive. As we were at the end of January, we were alone. The music, the place the food were exactly I love. The dishes were not of the large size, but we enjoyed the food.

We enjoyed our first lunch so much that we went back a second time. The service is very pleasant while remaining professional (the recommended wines were excellent). The dishes are creative and delicious, without forgetting the desserts which are also very good (which is rare enough to be highlighted). In short, only good reasons to try this restaurant with a magnificent view of the city of Matera. We will recommend it to our friends, you can go there with your eyes closed!

We went to Nicchia nel Sasso to celebrate my wife's 42nd birthday and it was a truly special experience. The restaurant, set in the suggestive Sassi of Matera, has an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are excellent, with attention to detail and with quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel very comfortable. A perfect evening in a unique place. Highly recommended!

il locale,molto raccolto e caratteristico scavato nella roccia,si trova nel "Sasso Baresano" di Matera.
Arredamento moderno.
Accoglienza e servizio di alto livello professionale.
Materie prime di alta qualita'.

Seconda cena a Matera, cercando su TripAdvisor trovo questo locale, in piena zona di sassi, ambiente molto curato e servizio impeccabile. Menù pieno di piatti molto elaborati, con l'utilizzo di prodotti locali e di alta qualità. Primi e secondi assolutamente ottimi. Lo consigliamo per chi ama la cucina moderna.
