La Mugnaia In Ivrea

I'm celebrating my 60th birthday with my sweetheart with a tour of Piedmont. Unfortunately, this restaurant was the most disappointing among the "high-quality" ones. The entrance is rather gritty and spooky. The ambiance is bland and unremarkable in any way. The welcome was not really that great. The waiter was disinterested, rude, and seemed overwhelmed. For the food: we had the "Water" menu, which is fish. The first course was a bitter lemonade foam on peanut butter. The first course was octopus strips on pomegranate ice cream with mint and onion. Quite interesting and creative. The second course was tagliatelle with octopus slices in a verjus sauce, garnished with two bites of raw and very delicious fish. Unfortunately, the pasta tasted very much like Barilla. They also seemed to have been waiting somewhere for a long time for the sauce. Unfortunately, not a particularly successful pasta dish for Italy. ``` The main course was a slice of fish fried on a hot stone and served on the same stone. A good idea in itself, but then the fish was served on a small 10 x 10 cm plate, which kept slipping off while eating. This was accompanied by a second small plate with a bit of mashed potato that was already cold and a 2 cm long piece of fried spring onion. And unfortunately, the fish was dry. Then there was an item on the bill that we hadn't ordered and, of course, hadn't eaten. The bill was then corrected without a word of apology. The champagne was delicious, but it wasn't their fault.

A great and beautiful surprise, the best food in Ivrea in a beautiful setting and with a kind and professional service. The chef is very good

A very well-kept place, with traditional and modern elements at the same time. Refined cuisine with creative but always balanced combinations. Gourmet portions. Excellent wine list!

Cena gradevole con una coppia di amici in questo ristorantino nel centro storico di Ivrea.Pochi piatti alla carta e tre menù: ne abbiamo scelti tre a base di pesce e uno a base di carne. Sapori ben bilanciati ,presentazioni classiche. La carta dei vini presenta case poco conosciute,ma il nostro Arneis era di buona qualità .Rapporto qualità/prezzo corretto.

Found almost by chance while walking along the Corso in the city on a weekday, we entered with curiosity. Nice and welcoming environment (but it could be slightly enriched), warm (and this is an important fact in the winter season). Not very extensive menu but targeted and pleasant. Notable quality of food and prestigious plating. Courteous, attentive, and precise service. Always with a smile on their lips. Cost proportionate to the quality of the lunch and the characteristics of the place. They also offered us the "business lunch" at a reasonable cost but we opted for the menu because we were curious about the proposals. Highly recommended place to everyone.

The place is beautiful, the food is exquisite and of high quality and the service is professional and courteous. A land menu, a meat menu and a vegetarian menu are offered. All very good. Truly a top-notch place.

Eccellente, non c’è altro da dire…. Ogni volta una conferma. La tecnica al servizio del piatto e non viceversa. Non servono troppi ingredienti quando si hanno le idee giuste. Rapporto qualità prezzo senza paragoni. S U P E R !!!
