La Montanara is a guarantee. We always come here for the mushroom crepes, among the best we've ever tasted. We ordered lamb and fried mushrooms for our main course, and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great prices. Highly recommended!

And after a nice trip to Lake Calamone, lunch at this restaurant is a must. It's not far from the lake, about half an hour away. The menu is typical of the area, including excellent polenta with porcini mushrooms and fried porcini mushrooms. Their homemade cakes are also excellent.

Lunch with friends....everything was good, but the fried mushrooms were exceptional...really good...the price was more than fair...we'll definitely be back.

A very simple but welcoming restaurant.
The service was a bit too detached and rushed, probably due to the large number of people in the dining room.
The food was nothing special; the potato ravioli with mushrooms were nothing special. The tagliata was very tough and we left it on the plate, but the fried mushrooms were very good.
The price was low for what we got, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. I would have preferred to pay a little more and eat better.

I go to Ferrara every year once or twice a year because the food is amazing, the staff is very friendly, the place is nice and the prices are top.

Porcini mushrooms, pasta, meat, desserts, all excellent. Well done.
P.S.: They use very little salt and serve the tagliata stewed. If you prefer, let them know how you like it.

One of those places that are disappearing. Top-notch food, super-fair prices. They serve Reggio Emilia-style pasta dishes like tortelli and pasta, meat, and, depending on availability, fresh mushrooms.

One of the most renowned restaurants in the upper Reggio Emilia Apennines. The food is good, the portions aren't excessive, and the bill is still reasonably priced. Mushrooms are the star, especially in season, and the homemade pasta is good quality. The desserts are delicious. Frankly, I don't find anything particularly incredible, but I don't know if it's worth the endless journey to get there.
