There are no words to describe the cuisine I tried at this restaurant, every dish reflects the traditions and flavors of yesteryear. Highly recommended.

The two first courses were excellent: tonnarelli cacio e pepe and a remarkable carbonara. It's a shame there are so few traditional Roman dishes. The restaurant tries to project a Michelin-starred air, as many unfortunately do nowadays, starting with the choice of glasses, which are as low as Ikea candle holders. Service is rather slow, but friendly.

Small, quaint restaurant with a delicious home-cooked menu, a wide variety of traditional dishes, and top-quality ingredients. Even the desserts and liqueurs are homemade.

True tradition in the Castelli Romani! Places this authentic are truly hard to find these days. A stunning restaurant with beautiful arches, walls decorated with objects that tell the story of rural life, and frescoes throughout that transport you back in time. Traditional dishes from Genzano and the Castelli Romani reign supreme, impossible to find in Rome and the surrounding area. The chef (the classic host who sits with you at the table) collects wild local herbs such as purslane, nettle, cockscomb, chenopodium, and many others depending on the season, and is always happy to explain their properties. The fried borage stuffed like zucchini flowers is truly excellent. Local cured meats, homemade supplì, and old-fashioned dishes like pancotto, revisited with porcini mushrooms. Only here have I found snails, which, prepared "Genzanese" style, are a true delight. Special mention goes to the soups, such as the cod and black cabbage soup, an explosion of flavors. Even the homemade desserts are unique and never predictable. In short, an authentic traditional cuisine experience and a journey into the history of Genzano and the Castelli Romani region, all at a truly reasonable price.

A very unique atmosphere with stunning paintings. The food is excellent, like in the old days. The staff is very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it.
