I went there for dinner after being recommended by the staff at the hotel I was staying at. I had been wanting to try Bottarga so I was very happy when I saw the name on the menu. The raviole contained rich cream and shrimp, and I enjoyed the texture. The bottarga on top was also fragrant and delicious when eaten with raviole. The homemade chocolate cake had an orange scent and was delicious. I ordered a red house wine. The taste was mellow and even I, a beginner in red wine, was able to drink it deliciously. I'm glad we had dinner here. The staff member was kind, taught me about seasonal foods, and responded quickly. The price was also reasonable. I'm very satisfied.

I stopped by on Christmas night for dinner. I had Tortelli di castagne con bacon e pecorino, and it was the best pasta I had after one week in Italy! It was so delicious that instead of ordering a second plate I ordered another Tortelli :) The flavor and the texture were absolutely amazing! Also, the service was very good, they were very attentive and kind. If I could, I’d give 6 stars.

Excellent food, variety of dishes of stratospheric goodness. Ate and drank very well, excellent quality and price. I highly recommend this place, go because you will enjoy it very much.

Ho mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante prima di un convegno consigliato dal meraviglioso hotel Milu Buon ristorante tipico con menù ampio ( il giusto!) e proposte del giorno , servizio cortese e veloce. Abbiamo mangiato tagliolini con carciofi, insalata di carciofi e grana e carciofi fritti eccellenti ,,pollo alla cacciatora ben cotto ma ( colpa mia che sono jntollerante!) L essendo cucinato su mia richiesta senza aglio era un po’ poco saporito Chianti al calice e pane tipico eccellenti, porzioni molto abbondanti!! Vivamente consigliato !

Sono andata con la famiglia a cenare in questo ristorante. Personale gentilissimo. Cibo ottimo. Ottimo il tagliere, formaggio al tartufo buonissimo. Consiglio primo con il tartufo e tagliatelle con funghi porcini. Grazie, un saluto da Verona

HOSTARIA IL DESCO

08/03/2025: This was a wonderful place for dinner that is off the beaten path in the heart of Florence. Easy to get to, but it feels like you are away from the crowds. The restaurant wasn't quite open but they seated us anyway and took such good care of us. We loved the atmosphere and the staff was helpful and made some great recommendations. The food was good and we enjoyed our dinner.
