We came here on recommendation and didn't regret it. The food is excellent. The prices are reasonable. We especially recommend the black truffle dishes. The very friendly host was on hand to advise us on our meal selection.

I hate to give this restaurant a negative review because they were friendly and the food was good overall. I would have easily given it four stars...but unfortunately, I've noticed a terrible habit in Florence: they overcharge. It's a trivial amount, just two euros, but if you factor in the number of visitors who come to the restaurant every day, it's a lot. Furthermore, they only give me a pre-bill, not a tax bill, and no receipt when I leave. Honestly, it seemed like it was done on purpose.

We had absolutely delightful dinner here. The weight staff was extraordinary. The food was delicious. A good selection wine. The only thing I could say is, I need to turn the lights down a little bit other than that. It was a perfect dining experience.

After arriving from Bologna on the train, our hotel was a very short walk away from the train station. Our hotel concierge recommended this family run place for lunch. It is located on a quiet street and could be easily missed! We walked in at 1:30. We were the only non-Italians there, no other tourists! Our host/waiter, owner? was lovely. We asked for a bottle of the house white, there were 2 and he had us taste both before committing. My husband and I shared the Bruschetta w/ pecorino cheese & black truffle AND the Tuscan mixed appetizer (3 kinds of meats, 2 cheeses and green olives with pits-my fav). Then we shared the Ravioli filled with prawns w/ butter, black garlic fermented with Bottarga sauce AND the Taglionini w/ black truffle. For dessert there were 2 different tiramisus, we got the traditional one with coffee. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. I would happily return to try the other dishes! We had no cell service in that room, so we couldn't look up some of the words we were unfamiliar with, but the waiter happily explained everything. The atmosphere reminded my husband of his childhood Italian family parties in West Virginia.

19/11/2025: I happened to stop by and had a delicious meal. Florence is a tourist town, so I don't remember having a particularly good meal, but visiting this restaurant changed my mind. The pasta in the second photo is the basil tomato pasta, and wow... it was truly delicious. The ingredients blended well together, and the texture of the pasta was wonderful. The first photo is the wild boar pasta. It wasn't anything special, but it had a familiar flavor and was delicious. If I ever go back to Florence, I'd love to come back and try some of the other dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly. The best. . I visited again in November. I had such a great meal that I brought my mom back. The staff were just as friendly, and the food was delicious as always. My mom also loved the Choi Gong Pasta. I wanted to tell the owner about this, but he seemed very busy, so I just said "I enjoyed it" and left. It's a shame, but I look forward to seeing you again. Stay healthy, boss!
17/11/2025: From the start, it's clear it's a good place, with lots of people and many restaurants. The waitress was lovely. She chatted with us, was attentive, and was constantly on the go. The food... we opted for typical Tuscan dishes. The tortelli with ragu were delicious, and especially the beef stew with Chianti, or Peposo Toscano, was incredible. For dessert, the tiramisu was very, very good, and we tried the best cantucci of the trip, with Vin Santo for dipping. Everything was excellent.

Trattoria Pandemonio di Casa Brogi

07/10/2025: One of my favourite places in Florence! I don't know how they do it, but they manage to keep it local and authentic, although toutists know it. Food is amazing (the tagliata is my favourite) and service is excellent. Highly recommended! ❤️
29/09/2025: I have visited this place twice, and both times were wonderful experiences. The bottarga pasta and the Fiorentina steak are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend them. I can’t wait to come back again!
