The truffle carbonara was good but lacked some of the intense flavor I would expect from this dish given the presence of pecorino and bacon. The gorgonzola flan on the other hand was exactly what I expected when ordering a gorgonzola flan. Compliments to the chef who has worked there since 1982.

Trovato per caso per pranzo. Ottima accoglienza Ottimo cibo. Corretto rapporto qualità prezzo. Abbiamo preso 5 primi tutti eccezionali, un secondo Ottimo, tre Contorni Cantuccini e un altro dolce al mascarpone super. Vino. Musica di sottofondo peccato che dovevamo partire. Grazie torneremo sicuramente

A little hidden place in San Gimignano but really nice and well-kept.
Aesthetically perfect precisely for the context in which we find ourselves.
Friendly and nice staff!
We ate very well, from the first course to the last. There are no flaws.
I also find the price fair given the location in which it is located and the quality of the materials served.
We will definitely be back

Trattoria in a little street a little hidden from the eyes of tourists. Rustic atmosphere, but nice and very welcoming. The service started out a little slow, but recovered very well. The dishes were really good, generous and tasty portions. Wine list with a wide local offer, when asked for a suggestion, the proposal was very honest in terms of price, which often doesn't happen. Honest account. Advised!

Typical welcoming and quite elegant environment. Staff very helpful but sometimes a little inattentive (I couldn't get their attention for a new bottle of water); but overall very nice and friendly. Good tasting food, satisfying to the palate; (with small exceptions) very well presented on the plate. The only flaw: the price, in my opinion, is slightly high in relation to the order (50 euros for starter, encore first courses (2 half portions) and dessert, water and coffee). However, 4 stars are well deserved and the place is absolutely recommended.

Tuvimos una excelente comida aquí - gran relación calidad-precio y cocina verdaderamente excepcional. Desde el momento en que nos recibieron a nuestra llegada todo era de primera categoría - desde el Vino Rosso Della Casa a la pasta y el desierto. Después de haber vivido en Italia durante unos años, hemos estado en muchos restaurantes italianos - y La Mangiatoia está justo allí. Los tortelli y pici alla montalcinese estaban deliciosos. Y si calificas un restaurante italiano por la calidad de su Tira Mi Su, no querrás perdértelo.
