Excellent food, excellent hospitality! As a celiac, I often struggle in many restaurants. Here, I felt pampered and noticed attention, sensitivity, and preparation combined with excellent food, including bread, which I don't remember enjoying or enjoying in a long time. I reiterate my constant joy in eating at this wonderful place!

Too bad, the place is small, suitable for couples, two max. I'm single and older, so I'm not a good example. I was very hungry and waited a long time, the kids come first. You don't leave hungry! The cuisine is well-prepared and meticulous, not just meat, but also fish, brought from an area where sturgeon have disappeared... I would have liked a little less salt on the anchovies; the smaller marubini would have been very delicate, as would the flavor. Well done, 9/10, my rating. I ate too much and then tried everything. The white wine was excellent, I forgot about the baked pear with ice cream!

13/09/2025: Want to eat Roman food and good food? Go to the winter cellar!!! Delicious food and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
20/08/2025: Last night I tried this restaurant for the first time (the summer opening is in Casalbuttano at the former Osteria La Grande). There were two of us; we each had a first course and a second course shared. Everything was delicious, and the place was truly lovely. We paid €58 (with water). Highly recommended restaurant ☺️

06/02/2026: I came to Antico Pavone with my family for lunch on Sunday to celebrate my birthday, and we had a wonderful time: the family welcome, the relaxed atmosphere, and above all, the generous and delicious dishes. There were five of us, and we all shared two appetizers, and each had a first course and a second course. We tried several dishes, all very good, but the truly special one was the guinea fowl in clay sauce, very tender and juicy, and essentially delicious. I highly recommend the place for the quality of the dishes and the excellent value (about €25 per person).
