Welcoming place, but above all, we had a wonderful lunch, with excellent quality and courtesy. Traditional dishes include sublime cotechino, delicate cospeton (herring), perfect riso alla pilota, and excellent pumpkin tortelli. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity. If you visit the Santuario delle Grazie, which is truly worth it, stop at the Locanda for a Mantuan culinary pit stop.

Wonderful surprise... we stopped by chance for lunch and found some amazing dishes, excellent service and a nice and familiar environment!!!! Don't miss the Mantua-style pumpkin tortelli because they are truly delicious!!!! Excellent value for money too!

A simply superb dinner at an inn that represents the most authentic soul of Mantuan cuisine. From the first moment we met, the welcome was impeccable: we were even called back because a table was available, a rare gesture that makes us feel truly pampered and welcomed. The dining experience was a true journey of taste. The appetizer of Mantuan cured meats is top-notch, accompanied by an exquisite, intense, and fragrant Grana Padano, which alone is worth the visit. The first courses are exceptional; you can clearly taste that the pasta is homemade, with a care and quality that are increasingly rare nowadays. Every bite speaks of tradition, passion, and respect for the raw ingredients. The desserts, then, are a dream finish: delicious, balanced, and irresistible. The location is another strong point: just steps from the square of the Santuario delle Grazie, the inn keeps Mantuan tradition alive thanks to a careful selection of local wineries, perfectly paired with the dishes. A restaurant that never disappoints: sublime food, authentic atmosphere, and impeccable service. An experience to be repeated and recommended without hesitation.

High-quality Mantuan cuisine. A special mention goes to the Mantuan pumpkin tortelli. And the truly excellent artisanal cotechino. The artisanal desserts are also excellent, especially the millefeuille.

10/04/2026: Excellent 5-course menu. A very original tiramisu of potato and cod mousse, tataki, ricciola tartare, spaghetti nero with scallops. Dessert: hazelnut semifreddo and caramel fondant. Accompanied by a 100% Pinot Meunier sparkling wine from a small producer. Very generous portions. We highly recommend it.
31/03/2026: Top! Service, cleanliness, excellent, beautifully plated food, even good coffee... good coffee is almost impossible even in the best restaurants! Well done.

Osteria Numero 2

22/03/2026: An experience. Culinary and more. A true osteria, where the host and the chef are NOT the same person. Like any great team, the result is achieved together, each doing their part and allowing the other to do the same, with mutual respect and trust. The chef is known through dishes built on excellent ingredients (with an abundance of Slow Food Presidia) and a great attention to translation, reinterpretation, and enjoyment. Because if you don't enjoy yourself, why bother eating out?! The host is incredibly knowledgeable about beers, wines, and cheeses. Don't be afraid to ask for advice and explanations; instead, be willing to take the time to listen, because when passion, expertise, and an innate charm come together, you can't do anything else :) Finally, the prices are absolutely reasonable. And there's also the possibility of finding solutions that are definitely affordable for everyone... You can't always have two courses with a cheese cart and dessert! Although here it would be worth it...
10/03/2026: High-quality products... cooked well and with so much passion. The fried gnocchi are exquisite...the stracotto and pumpkin-filled tortelli in three variations are also highly recommended...exceptional. We concluded the dinner with a selection of cheeses and mustards, all accompanied by a wonderful Giuseppe (the manager)...everyone's cousin (when you pay)....good expireance.
