Very good pizza, comfortable and ventilated outdoor space, fast and courteous service

La Locàda del Grifo is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant restaurants in Naples. It has a large, quiet terrace, which is rare for this bustling city. The food is good: delicious pizzas, eggplant parmengiana, and octopus with purple potatoes and truffles. Everything is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We went there three times during our stay, as a couple, then as a family of nine. The service is fast and very friendly. I highly recommend it. PS. I don't take pictures, but you won't be disappointed :)

The food came very quickly and the pizza was huge. We had to share it! The service was very pleasant.

Tonight, June 1, 2025, a perfect pizza Napoli eaten with a nice glass of white wine. Pleasant and fast service.

Very good spritz, we stayed for dinner. My wife had the Capriosa, which was very good, and I had a Gorgonzola. I was very disappointed (see photo), because the Gorgonzola on the pizza was cold and looked like it came out of a mayonnaise tube. The service was friendly, but I was hoping for chunks of cheese that would have melted in the oven.

Good restaurant in the historic center I found myself well a couple of times. Looking at the receipt I realize that in addition to the 2 euro cover charge there is a 15% service charge, a good 37 euros more just for the waiter and in addition he left a tip. See for yourself!!

Recommended by a local, the place was a typical Italian restaurant. The pizzas were authentic but quite large for one person. The coperto bread could have been softer, and desserts were ok. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Typical trattoria with Neapolitan cuisine in the heart of the San Lorenzo district (a side street off Via dei Tribunali). Excellent fried food and pizza, very friendly staff, fast service, very good quality/price ratio! Better to book to avoid waiting to sit at the table!

Abbiamo preso delle pizze con amici, atmosfera accogliente, ciò che mi è piaciuto delle pizze è la cottura , ottima davvero, complimenti al pizzaiolo, una cottura delle pizze uniforme, né troppo bruciacchiate né crude, davvero competente il pizzaiolo, snifff.

Sempre il Top! Frequento da anni la "Locanda del Grifo" e mai ne sono rimasta delusa. La qualità è sempre al top, il menù è vario, va dalla pizzeria a pietanze di carne e/o pesce e un'ampia scelta di pietanze con legumi e verdure, in più, c'è un'ottima scelta di vini e dolci. Non c’è, pertanto, che l'imbarazzo della scelta, ma, cosa importante e che rende la "Locanda" un luogo diverso dai tanti, è che ci si ritrova in un luogo tranquillo, una sorta di oasi al di fuori del contesto caotico. Un plauso a Mariano che, negli anni (e non sono pochi), con grandi sacrifici ha creato una realtà enogastronomica di altissimo livello, coadiuvato e sostenuto, in primis, da Daniela e Antonio, Ciro, Franco; complimenti ai nuovi collaboratori, che, con grande entusiasmo, contribuiscono a creare quell'atmosfera che fa stare bene il cliente che non si sente più cliente, ma si sente a casa, perché sa che dietro tutto quel lavoro c'è amore, passione e dedizione. Ad maiora!
