I was undecided whether to sit in this place... instead it was a wonderful discovery... pasta with potatoes one of the best I ate in Naples and wonderful pizza dough 😋

The Locanda del Grifo is located behind the oldest bell tower in Naples near the Pietrasanta church. Legend has it that this bell tower, on which there are many esoteric symbols, was erected to drive away a possessed sow that terrorized the local inhabitants with inhuman screams. The pizza is truly excellent, light and topped with quality products. The starters and first and second courses are excellent and are also attractively plated. The gnocchi dish with mussels and chilli peppers is very good, the mixed fried fish for starters and the spaghetti alla nerano or the risotto with prawns are excellent... in short, everything is good with fish or meat. Go there, you won't regret it and the waiter Antonio will be able to advise you.

Ero già venuta ora sono tornata con la mia amica del cuore per farle assaggiare il polipo arrosto, uno dei pochi posti dove lo fanno, di solito si fa lessato all’ insalata. Sono ottime anche le pizze. Da provare. Location molto interessante sotto il campanile della Prietrasanta del X secolo circa uno tra i più antichi monumenti medievali fatto con materiali di un antico tempio romano come la vicina chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore

Sucedió en este restaurante una noche mientras los truenos y relámpagos iluminaban el cielo y decidieron probar su pizza, no decepcionó. Mi OH optó por la chuleta de cerdo con patatas fritas mientras que yo opté por la pizza con jamón parma y setas. La chuleta era enorme, jugosa y tierna y cayó muy bien, la pizza estaba deliciosa con mucho jamón y hongos, la salsa a base de tomate y la mejor mozarella del mundo solo causa babeo y gracias a la ayuda de OH conseguí terminar toda la pizza grande! Hay una buena carta de vinos aquí también, sin prisa, personal servicial y amable y tiene un precio razonable.
