La Locanda del Gallo In Alberobello

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at La Locanda del Gallo. Don’t let the alleyway and side entrance fool you — this place is incredibly spacious, with enough seating for even a large wedding party both inside and out. The atmosphere is charming, authentic, and full of character. The staff was amazing from start to finish — warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. There are plenty of options on the menu to suit just about anyone’s taste, and the fresh, handmade pasta dishes were outstanding. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. We ended up spending about two hours here while waiting out the rain, and never once felt rushed. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and soak in the experience. Highly recommend La Locanda del Gallo for a sit-down lunch, dinner, or even just a cold drink. We had orichiette with sausage and ragu and finished off with hot chocolate, tiramisu and chocolate and coconut tart. Very good food and close to the main streets of Alberoberro.

The location is excellent, and if you arrive early for dinner, you can see the sunset. As for the evening dining experience, it's decent, though the price is on the higher side, mainly due to the view.

A worthwhile find slightly off the beaten track with a spacious outdoor terrace with shaded area. We stopped for coffee & cake so can recommend the Tiramisu and Coconut and Nutella torte! The service was good and WC clean & pleasant to use. It wasn't busy so couldn't comment on atmosphere and didn't venture into the indoor part.
