Cute place! We passed by chance under advice and expectations were maintained. Exceptional pizza and some of the best grilled fish I've ever eaten. Fast and attentive service. Unfortunately we live far away but we will definitely return. Well done!

Sometimes we let ourselves be guided by the high-sounding names of famous chefs to savor particular dishes presented with pomp and refined elegance only to discover that the whole charade is a marketing communication that does not always correspond to the prices they charge. The caterpillar inn, discovered by chance, reminded me of the story of Cinderella. Sober, elegant in its simplicity, essential in the things that matter, but above all with all the merits that a good restaurant must have. In short, discovering that behind the simplicity lies a splendid Princess was a pleasant surprise. Francesco proved to be an excellent professional, courteous, discreet and always present at the right time. He described the different dishes to us so well that we seemed to savor their taste and smell their aroma. The appearance corresponded perfectly to the one described. Bravo!! My wife and I ate delicacies that satisfied all the senses of pleasure. Obviously the chef has his good merits. The environment is nice and cozy even if not particularly large. The cost is in line with the dishes and is around 20/30 Euros each. The restaurant is located in Malnate (Varese) and is clearly visible along Via Varese. One last piece of information, they also serve pizzas which, however, we didn't eat, so I can't give an opinion. I'll taste it next time.

Informal atmosphere, friendly and polite staff, good food. A place without too many pretensions that definitely does its job. Advised!

Vado ormai da anni, quasi tutti i sabati sera, le pizze , cotte con forno a legna, sono leggere a dir poco fantastiche, posto accogliente e personale professionale e qualificato.

Come a casa! Cena con amici, posto familiare, scherzoso dove si può mangiare una semplice pizza. Io vado molto spesso....

In the place, attentive and kind staff, excellent food...

We stop in Melnate and we have to decide on a place for lunch, there are 4 of us with two children. Looking on Google, this place inspired us: we weren't wrong! We call twenty minutes in advance to reserve a table (you never know), we arrive and immediately find a welcome that in fact reflects the courtesy and kindness of the dining room staff. We tried the pizza, very good both in the dough and the ingredients. In less than one day we found a very tasty first course with prawns and courgettes. Very good desserts. Excellent price considering the drinks taken including two beers and two coffees. Highly recommended

Found it by chance at lunchtime. Fast and friendly service. Fine food - 3-course lunch menu with water and wine - unbeatable. Haven't seen it like this in a long time. The pizzas are also very tasty. 😋 would love to come back
