My wife Anna and I were cycling through Umbria and stopped at the inn for a night. Manuele, the manager, is incredibly kind and helpful. We chatted about the beautiful surroundings and our past. From our perspective, the inn is stunning, with an air of times gone by, almost like a small, well-maintained castle. The rooms are excellent, and the breakfast room has a beautiful fireplace. Breakfast was plentiful, and check-in and check-out were seamless. Pietralunga is one of those villages I call "children of a lesser god." It's lesser-known compared to the more famous nearby towns, but there's a truly ancient feel to this small medieval village, complete with a few gems such as the Lombard fortress and the 8th-century Parish Church of Santa Maria. The inn and Borgo di Pietralunga are highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation on the St. Francis Way. A very helpful host, a beautifully renovated old manor house, and a 10-minute walk to the small but very lively and picturesque old town.

We stayed for three nights at this inn, located a short 10-minute walk from the center of Pietralunga. Manuele, the owner, was always available and kind. Excellent service, clean and spacious rooms. An ideal choice for those seeking a few days of peace and quiet surrounded by nature.

I stayed one night in this structure for the realization of the path of St. Francis in the first days of June, starting from the Sanctuary of La Verna and stopping, after really hard work but at the same time happy to have lived an unforgettable experience, in this place as a second stop, reaching the perched village of Pietralunga, between Umbria and Marche.
The stay, although short, was exceptional! From the warm welcome at check-in, to the check-out the following morning, everything was managed with care, attention, care, kindness, courtesy and super availability, Manuele is the perfect host: present, discreet, jovial, genuine, ready to respond to any request, a real family-like welcome.
Beautiful and functional apartment, spacious and clean and above all quiet, tastefully decorated rooms (it is worth highlighting the presence of books both in the room and in the common areas 😉).
A short walk takes you to the historic village, among alleys, views, shops and good places to have lunch/dinner (thanks to Manuele for the suggestion of Locanda Fiorucci, excellent dinner!!).
In the morning, excellent breakfast, organized and abundant with quality products and a wide choice of fresh homemade stuff, sweet and savory (cakes, bread, fruit), served in a large room on the ground floor.
Rating of the stay: excellent.
