Courteous and helpful staff. Quiet little place. Varied menu, with many first courses available, from meat to fish to pizzeria. I attach some photos of the dinner served in this restaurant. The pizza is cooked in a wood oven, and in winter there is the possibility of dining next to the lit fireplace, which makes this restaurant my absolute favourite. The pizza topped with onion, dried tomatoes and chips, tortelli with gratin cheeses baked, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, seafood salad and frying. I forgot to photograph the pizza, thin and well seasoned. Stupendous.

Locale frequentato per decenni. Oggi ci torno ogni tanto, sia per la nostalgia della nostra giovinezza, sia per la piacevolezza del tempo che vi si può trascorrere. Ai clienti più antiche non è sfuggito che il carrello degli antipasti ha perduto le cose più carine e costose, quindi non li prendiamo più. Anche perché il carrello degli antipasti è passato proprio come concetto. In effetti, la locanda è proprio la scena di un film sul sud degli anni Ottanta, nel bene e nel male. Il bene sta in una cucina semplice, familiare e a costi impressionanti. Una pizza margherita a 5€ non so dove si possa più trovare. Il male sta nell’ immutabilità. Il personale è molto gentile. 12/10/2025: We dined at the Gandula Restaurant in Cesate, a charming location surrounded by a large green space, making it an ideal destination for important events such as weddings, first communions, and so on. The restaurant has a welcoming indoor dining room, a covered outdoor area, and—the real highlight—a vast, illuminated garden that creates a magical atmosphere. The service is attentive, and the menu is simple yet sophisticated. We ordered risotto with ossobuco (very good) and excellent paccheri with cherry tomatoes and stracciatella. We will definitely return to try the cotoletta alla milanese: we saw some magnificent ones paraded between the tables, and it will be our next stop. Although some dishes are a bit pricey, the quality of the cuisine and the ambiance are worth the visit.
11/10/2025: A week after our wedding at this beautiful location, I can begin by saying that it has become a special place for us. From the moment we first arrived at Gandula, we felt a connection with Maddalena, who listened to us and accommodated us in every way (until the day before, I had some people in doubt due to health problems, and even then she was super, which is not a given). The wedding day was perfect and magical, from the ceremony to the aperitif to the lunch. All our guests complimented us on everything! We were happy and thrilled because everything was perfect! A huge thank you to Maddalena and all the staff, thank you for making our dream come true! Your spouses Silvia and Lorenzo
