La Libera In Milano

GOOD POINTS The waiting staff were excellent, entertaining, hard working, English speaking and they went above and beyond to make our evening special. Their level of skill in anticipating small details was very impressive. For example, bringing us samples of beer without our request, just incase it wasn't to our liking. I chose a cocktail for desert but the waiter brought out an extra plate and spoon just in case I had to help the Mrs finish her desert, he knew! The food was perfect and we had a range of items. The drinks, wine, beers and cocktails arrived very quickly. There were 4 of us. Mosquito spray was also provided as we sat outside late evening. Fans were blowing for us to keep us cool. In the toilets the mirrored sliding door and the foot operated sinks were really cool. POINTS TO IMPROVE The translation in the english menu for steak tartare wasn't quite right. I perhaps wouldn't have chosen it had I known. Despite this it was excellent and very tasty. The mosquitos did get me but the restaurant did all they could to minimise this.

The staff was super friendly, and the service exemplary. The food was very good! We started with the bruschetta and straciatella. I had the Monkfish and when I first tasted it, I had one of those Mama Mia! moments. It was tender, flaky, and meaty all at the same time. The lemon caper sauce was sooo good and the rice was cooked perfectly. My wife had Purple Gnocchi with Campagna cheese and it was super creamy and dreamy. We finished with the Pearled Melon with Port and it was perfectly ripe and sweet. Totally appreciated the effort of all the staff to make our last night in Milan truly a bellasera. Grazie miile!

Food was ok. Service was nice enough. But the English menu is so poorly translated I barely knew what I was ordering.

I've been returning here for decades when I pass through Milan, a culinary experience that you shouldn't miss. The owners are still the same, they still resist, a sign of their passion, bon appetit!!

Ein perfektes Dinner Uns ist dieses Restaurant von einen Italiener empfohlen worden. Er würde immer mal mit seiner Mama dort essen gehen. Mein Mann war skeptisch, weil es nur durchschnittlich bewertet ist. Dies können wir nicht bestätigen. Die Küche ist hervorragend. Kein Touristen Restaurant. Die super nette und schnelle Bedienung aus Österreich hat alles möglich gemacht. Ich hatte Lust auf Frische Artischocken und sie meinte dies sei kein Problem. Sie würde den Koch bitten mir einen leckeren Artischockensalat zu machen. Sagenhaft. Also, alles perfekt und empfehlenswert, das Essen, der Service usw. Man sollte aber eine vorab reservieren, es gab keinen freien Tisch.

Ristorante tipico milanese in cui degustare ottimi piatti della tradizione, in un’atmosfera che ti riporta alla Milano del passato. Personale molto cortese che ti fa sentire a casa, in famiglia! Consigliatissimo!!
