A fortune discovered during a trip to San Giovanni Rotondo! Rustic and delightfully welcoming environment even on a cold rainy day... The owner is very friendly and the dishes are a tasty and abundant journey into local traditions. Extremely helpful both for our late arrival (they welcomed us for lunch even though we arrived well after 2.30pm) and for the choice of different dishes even though there were only 2 of us at our table. The price is really reasonable given the exquisite treatment we received... And we were also offered an excellent artisan Cherry! Highly recommended!!

The premise is that as soon as we entered, we were greeted with a huge smile. Shortly after, some delicious appetizers arrived and so on up to the famous cherry to absolutely drink. I can't wait to go back. Thanks again to the owners Maria and Michele.

Locale piccolino famigliare, menù non molto vario ma tutto veramente buono. Pure di fave e cicorie, fettuccine con funghi, orecchiette al ragù. Prezzo onestissimo. Consigliato

I had the pleasure of dining at "La Lanternina", and I must say that it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The food was excellent, fresh and with unique flavours. I highly recommend trying the "orecchiette alla Lanternina" and the delicious broad bean and chicory soup, both dishes that really impressed me with their authenticity and taste. The starters were all excellent, but the bruschettas in particular deserve a special mention. The staff was pleasant and always attentive to our needs, making the meal even more enjoyable. Furthermore, the place is very clean and well looked after, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you immediately feel at home. I fell in love with this place so much that I went back for three days in a row! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be pampered with extraordinary food and impeccable service. "La Lanternina" is a must for anyone visiting San Giovanni Rotondo!

I returned this evening for dinner for the second time and it was a confirmation. The restaurant is located in a very characteristic street in the historic center. Among the various dishes tasted, I recommend the broad bean and chicory soup, the strozzapreti with smoked scamorza speck and mushrooms and the tiramisu, but everything else is really good too. Even though the place was full, the managers were kind and quick. Another positive note is the good value for money!

Excellent food and impeccable service! Each dish was an explosion of flavours, with fresh, quality ingredients. The staff, courteous and professional, immediately made us feel at home. An experience that I highly recommend and I will definitely return.
