If you are looking for real Italian food, great service and don't want to pay what you pay for the crappy food in the Centro Storico, this is the place to go. Really! None of the trattorias in the centrum of Alghero are as good as Lanterna.

We liked it so much that we repeated during our stay in Alghero. Many options (including vegetarian) and we found everything delicious. Very good wines. The waitresses are super friendly. They have dishes, desserts, beers and wines typical of the region. 🤤

21/04/2025: I went last week with my wife to buy some formagelle, copulette and passini, being the eve of Easter. We happen to use this shop several times. It is located in the city centre, a stone's throw from the main square. On the street, a medium-large place, bright, clean, well assorted, with local artisanal products, very tasty and fragrant. The quality and price is on average for other shops. We will definitely return.
17/11/2024: Excellent pastry shop for typical Sardinian desserts. The Burgos copulettes are particularly good.
