Amazing family owned restaurant. A local man recommended for us to come here and eat. We ordered two pasta dishes, bolognese and pappardelle - 10/10 some of the best pastas I’ve had here in the south of Italy.
Thank you for your hospitality and kindness! Will surely visit once we come back again.

La Lanterna in Sorrento offers tasty food with generous portion sizes. One main dish per person is more than enough for a satisfying meal. Considering the portions, the prices feel reasonable and fair.
There is a seating charge of around 6 euros per table, which is worth noting. The limoncello was enjoyable, though the alcohol content felt a bit strong for my personal taste.
The interior atmosphere is simple rather than fancy, but comfortable. The restroom was exceptionally clean, which added to the overall positive impression. Overall, La Lanterna is a solid choice for a relaxed and satisfying meal in Sorrento.

In Sorrento, Italy, you'll find La Lanterna, a charming restaurant with one of the best atmospheres in Sorrento. My sister and I were introduced to it by a waiter, and we weren't disappointed. Upon arrival, all the Italian waiters greeted us warmly, and the food was fantastic: a great salad, a delicious pizza, a spectacular lasagna, and a delightful main course. I highly recommend it. You might even find a singer with a guitar serenading your table, and if you ask about your country of origin, he might even sing a song from it. Singing "Cielito Lindo" with the waiters and the singer was a wonderful experience.

La Lanterna is a true slice of Italy! The spaghetti and pizza are absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and perfectly balanced proportions. The interior boasts a unique Italian atmosphere, and the music perfectly complements the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, smiling, and very helpful. This is definitely a place worth returning to!

We found this lovely restaurant one lunchtime while walking in the market.
My wife had a Parma ham salad and I had an Eggplant pasta bake.
The profiteroles were amazing 10/10
All the food was delicious and the service was excellent.
We decide to have dinner there a few nights later as our last experience had been so good.
I had Lasagne and my wife had a Ravioli pasta dish. Both were 10/10
The Tiramisu was amazing 10/10
We were treated like royalty on our second visit as we were remembered from our previous visit.
The food and service are excellent and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Spotted this little gem on a walk through Sorrento so decided to give it a go for dinner. Lovely restaurant with a good menu. Staff were so friendly and helpful: all topped off by the serenading guitarist who milled around the restaurant throughout the evening without being intrusive or over-bearing. Watched one member of staff skillfully serve a John Dory fish to our neighbouring table - that was incredible to watch in itself.
Highly recommend this place. We had a great evening, lubricated by some very potent limoncello spritz!!!
