Amazing family owned restaurant. A local man recommended for us to come here and eat. We ordered two pasta dishes, bolognese and pappardelle - 10/10 some of the best pastas I’ve had here in the south of Italy. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness! Will surely visit once we come back again.

In Sorrento, Italy, you'll find La Lanterna, a charming restaurant with one of the best atmospheres in Sorrento. My sister and I were introduced to it by a waiter, and we weren't disappointed. Upon arrival, all the Italian waiters greeted us warmly, and the food was fantastic: a great salad, a delicious pizza, a spectacular lasagna, and a delightful main course. I highly recommend it. You might even find a singer with a guitar serenading your table, and if you ask about your country of origin, he might even sing a song from it. Singing "Cielito Lindo" with the waiters and the singer was a wonderful experience.

La Lanterna is a true slice of Italy! The spaghetti and pizza are absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and perfectly balanced proportions. The interior boasts a unique Italian atmosphere, and the music perfectly complements the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, smiling, and very helpful. This is definitely a place worth returning to!

Well-prepared Italian food. They offer a choice of fresh house pasta. All the dishes we ordered were very good. The price was a bit higher than usual, but for me, it was worth it. The waiters were a little unfriendly.

31/10/2025: What a place! Great vibe, delicious food (incredible drinks, pasta and the best pizza we had on our trip - including in Naples!) Also you’ll receive the most attentive service, it’s like being at a friend’s house but in a restaurant. The owner even drove us back to where we were staying when we needed a taxi! Definitely recommend stopping by especially if you’d rather experience genuine Italy and want to escape the touristy crowds of Sorrento. Bonus points if you get told the story of the history of the smoking cat!
20/10/2025: The fish was cooked to perfection and the welcome was very pleasant. The outside area is spacious and pleasant.

17/03/2026: LEGENDARY, I celebrated my 30th birthday, everything was perfect, the food corners were mind-blowing, the service impeccable; Marco is a helpful and attentive host, the food, the service, the decor—in short, every detail was taken care of down to the smallest detail. Thank you for making my event special. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
11/03/2026: I was there for a graduation party. The location was beautiful, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, attentive to every need and request, and knowledgeable about any intolerances or allergies. As a celiac, it was the first party I wasn't afraid to eat! They served everything gluten-free, from appetizers to dessert! 5 stars aren't enough for me; I'd have given them 10! Congratulations to the entire Villa Romano staff.
