La Grotta Restaurant In La thuile

We ate here twice during our visit to La Thuile. The first occasion was as a party of ten including of two families with four teens. We had a reservation. The room is bright and modern in an older setting, very comfortable. The dishes were pizzas, pastas and meat. All was very good and well received. The pizzas were quite large that the teens could not finish them but were given boxes to take them home. On the second occasion it was just two of us and we did not have a reservation. We saw that they were very busy and were giving people wait times for availability. But as there was only two of us, the owner (?), and older gentleman, offered us two stools at a countertop. This was perfect for us as we only intended on pizzas. We really enjoyed the food and wine and the casualness of sitting at the bar. Recommended…but make a reservation.
