We found it by chance and we liked it so much that we repeated the three days we were in Siena. The incredible food with an unbeatable price-quality. The very cozy atmosphere and exquisite treatment.

Location with attention to the smallest details, super-trained and attentive staff and cuisine so exceptional as to be literally fairytale-like are the only words to describe this place. Excellent menu of land and sea, the Pici cacio e pepe really made me roll my eyes, I have to say the best pici cacio e pepe of my life and certainly hands down in all of Siena, believe me. Definitely come to La Grotta di San Francesco because it is really worth it, I will definitely return!

We found this restaurant by chance, it was truly a surprise and a discovery. Dishes that are more than excellent, well prepared and plentiful, in particular the pasta all'aglione is a must try; the house Chianti is simply amazing, the staff are very friendly and kind; really popular prices hard to find in a tourist city. I'm giving 5 stars only because I can't give more, but it deserves at least double. Good thing I don't live in Siena otherwise I would be obese now with a restaurant so close at hand

It's difficult to find a restaurant in Siena, especially fish, as well as meat. The taste is excellent as is the presentation of the dishes.

07/11/2024: Small sauce shop on the outskirts of the historic center of San Quirico d'Orcia, offering various stuffed flatbreads and crostoni seasoned with the typical Tuscan delicatessen, enriched with sauces and honey. Average quality of the focaccia, excellent delicatessen, we tried the rigatino and finocchiona accompanied by an excellent pecorino. The selection of drinks is interesting, with wines and beers from some of the most well-known niche producers in the artisan sector.
26/10/2024: Cheese and salami from local farms, Italian craft beer, wines from family wineries and organic food. Amazing quiet setting. 👍
