Quiet, convenient spot near the station — it was perfect while waiting for our car pickup. They kindly let us put our luggage in the front, which was nice. The bruschetta was okay, but the carbonara was creamy (slightly salty in my opinion), and the tortellini al ragù was tasty. Good meal, if you looking for something easy and quick!

The restaurant is located 2 steps from the central station and 2 steps from the center. Excellent location, spectacular food, owner of a kindness to say the least fantastic, as well as the service done at the table. Value for money 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED❤️❤️

A place where you can have a T-bone steak for one person! Aglio olio is spicy, and overall it was more delicious than I thought. The meat is not cooked well, so please keep that in mind! The owner's grandmother was kind! The employees are blunt.

Out of all the Instagram references, walk on by and head to this restaurant! Every person that works here is kind and generous. Every morsel is dream worthy. The price is out of this world. The owner is gracious and a beautiful soul. We went 2 days in a row because all of the places we checked out for lunch didn’t even compare to our amazing dinner. Keep doing what you do, La Grotta Di Leo.

We had dinner two nights in a row because we felt welcomed by the owner as if we were family, first night mixed appetizer X2 (large portions and very good), pici cacio e pepe (very good) and spaghetti alla carrettiera (spectacular); second night Florentine (speechless 😋) and mixed roasts (good). All at a fair price. Absolutely recommended.

Restaurante realmente encantador con un ambiente casual, bullicioso, amable. Fuimos varias veces y la comida era abundante y sabrosa. El T - filete de hueso era, yo mi socio, la mejor comida en Florencia! Gracias en particular a Grazia por su servicio ejemplar!

15/07/2025: There's no sign outside, and they're only open four days a week. A little insider tip if you're in the area! The pizzas taste top-notch, and you can choose from three different sizes. We had a Pala (very large) and a Grande (regular size). They also have dessert pizzas that taste fantastic. The prices are unbeatable; we loved coming here!
09/07/2025: Fantastisch familie restaurant met oog voor lekkere producten. We hadden geen reservering en er gingen die avond 2 grote familiefeesten door. Maar zonder aarzelen werd er voor ons een tafel klaargemaakt op het terras. We kozen voor de het startersbord Matteo. Dat was fantastisch en heel uitgebreid. Daarna hadden we elk een heerlijke pizza. Alles aan heel democratische prijzen. Hier komen we zeker nog eens langs.

Chalet Il Valico

09/07/2025: We occasionally stop at Chalet Il Valico during our motorcycle tours in Casentino—it's always worth a visit! The schiacciata with porcini mushrooms (also available with cooked ham) is simply fantastic: flavorful, fragrant, and freshly prepared. It's a self-service restaurant, so a bit of a wait is expected—but the freshness and quality make up for it. A tip for hungry motorcyclists: avoid Sundays, when it's incredibly crowded. During the week, however, it's the perfect place for a tasty break with a view of the mountains.
08/07/2025: A must stop when you go to Casentino. Excellent schiacciata and not only.......
