27/05/2025: Found this little gem quite by chance - lovely lunch in every respect - highly recommend if visiting Bardolino.

26/05/2025: During our week long stay in Bardolino we tried various restaurants and we were pleased that we happened to choose Casanova. Like others there was a member of staff trying to drum up custom but there was no pressure as we perused the external menu. We were warmly welcomed in and ushered to our table. Two glasses of Prosecco were delivered as we decided on what we would eat. My wife chose her usual Pork Milanese (€18) and I went for the Breaded Prawns - Gambercroccanti (€24). We were happy with the portion size and the quality of food was most satisfactory. Having requested a rest we then shared a Ricotta E Pere. The bill was accompanied by a small bottle of Limoncello and small cake. Including 1/2 water, a medium beer, glass of rose and two cover charges the total was €68.50. Although the front of house staff seemed neat in number they were extremely efficient and attentive. One even paused to take our photos on my I-phone. That despite having a table for 18 right up the centre of the restaurant! (They seemed to be regular customers and their pizzas looked great). Service was quick and on leaving we were warmly thanked at the doorway by the female and male member of staff. We left very satisfied and with a good feeling. It was nice to soak up the appreciation for patronising Restaurant Casanova. Seems massive improvement since the poor 2024 reviews. We might make this our final night choice.
