Excellent pizzeria in Castelfidardo, very cozy atmosphere, and excellent service.

Abbiamo cenato e preso le pizze, devo dire che è cambiata ma in peggio, la mozzarella e la pizza un po' gommose. Altro non c'è niente da dire, tutto molto buono. Migliorate l'impasto e cambiate mozzarella. 😉

The Marche is a splendid but sober region... they have everything but they don't flaunt it... they are discreet. The beautiful medieval village of Castelfidardo, rich in history and excellence, is a worthy representative and the La Grotta pizza restaurant fits perfectly into this context. I went there with company for a pizza and, finally, I found myself completely at ease as I hadn't felt for a long time.. The environment is characteristic, as you can see from the numerous photos, but not pretentious, instead welcoming and the lights discreet... the tables are simple but not sloppy and the paper placemats at the back do not clash. The girls on duty are very polite, very nice, friendly and smiling, a real pleasure in short! Don't expect amazing gourmet pizzas, which now seem to be a staple of every pizzeria, but numerous pizzas with a variety of ingredients and simple toppings combined in a "polite" way and in the right quantity. I found them really pleasant, thin, not greasy, cooked well and almost crunchy. I often leave the edge or the ledge and quickly find myself with a heavy stomach but this time I devoured it all almost without realizing it! It is certainly a welcoming place where it is pleasant to spend a relaxed evening and the low costs can only enhance the experience.

Handmade gnocchi served with excellent seasonings, characteristic environment. Prices normal.

La pizza è buonissima e il posto è davvero molto carino e particolare. Lo staff è molto gentile e veloce. Abbiamo speso il giusto, per nulla caro anzi. Ci ritornei volentieri!
