La Grotta In Finale ligure

A fantastic and probably one-of-a-kind place. I highly recommend getting there early to enjoy the sunset and the breathtaking view surrounding the place. The food is sublime, especially their fresh pasta dishes and the mixed antipasto, where you can sample a mix of all their delicacies. We'll definitely be back!! P.S. 5 stars for food, service, and ambiance are too few.

Excellent welcome, service and food. It has been a great pleasure to enjoy Italian dishes made with mastery. Very interesting to learn about the history of the restaurant and the treasure they keep there.

15 minutes from Finale Ligure, inland. Immersed in the woods, it's best to visit in the cool evenings. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Excellent prices. We're returning for the second time in a few days.

The location and ambiance are incredible! I immediately felt like I was part of the family. The dishes are excellent at incredibly affordable prices. Among the highlights are the Ligurian-style rabbit and the wild boar, paired with a unique wine list. The desserts are simply SUPERLATIVE! After dinner, if you want to take a stroll to digest, you can follow the path at the exit that leads to a Paleolithic cave below the restaurant. The view of the cave is breathtaking. Chef Marina's Ligurian-style rabbit and the Neanderthal-style grilled deer and rhinoceros are just a few dozen meters away.

A place seemingly suspended between nature, history, and authentic Ligurian cuisine Trattoria La Grotta alle Manie is one of those places you won't easily forget. Getting there is already part of the experience: the road that climbs up the plateau, the thick greenery of the Manie, and then, suddenly, an almost hidden corner where stone and nature seem to have come together to welcome you. The restaurant is evocative and unique: the presence of the natural cave and the rustic yet refined spaces create a warm, almost "ancient" atmosphere that makes you feel far away from the coast and the frenetic tourism. The cuisine is a sincere homage to Ligurian tradition. The dishes are simple only in appearance, because behind them there is great attention to the quality of the raw materials and authentic flavors: ravioli, traditional first courses, well-prepared meats, light fried dishes, and homemade desserts that round out the meal with balance and satisfaction. The feeling of "home cooking," authentic, without unnecessary frills, is also greatly appreciated. The service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful, with a natural approach that makes you feel more like a guest than a customer. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, perfect for a dinner with friends or a break after a hike in the Manie mountains. The quality-price ratio is excellent, especially considering the unique setting: nature, silence, and authenticity. In short, La Grotta is more than just a restaurant: it's a complete experience just outside Finale Ligure, a place where you can eat well and breathe in the true Ligurian spirit.

A delightful little spot away from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront. Authentic cuisine and attentive, friendly service—what more could you ask for?

Good value for money, you pay but eat very little. I had the rabbit, which was cooked beautifully, very good, and delicate, but the dish alone cost €15, which was all bones. You have to order a side dish separately, and another €5 for sautéed carrots. It seems a bit excessive. I also asked for zucchini, but they were out of stock. I imagine the same thing happened with the rabbit, and they served me what was left. The same thing happened with the wild boar my partner had. It was delicious, but the portions were small. The polenta, on the other hand, was nothing special. The same thing happened with the mixed antipasto, which was nothing special. The wait was long, and given that the road to get there isn't easy and it's nestled in the mountains, I absolutely wouldn't recommend it. In fact, we were left hungry, so we ordered dessert elsewhere, right on the plateau, which was spectacular. The location, however, was very beautiful and well-kept, and the lady at the cash register, who I assume is the owner, was very kind. It's a shame, I expected better.
