Friendliness and good food... a winning combination.

Spent a day at this property not far from the Campo Smith ski lifts. Breakfast, lunch, and umbrella and deckchair rentals. Warm welcome, the staff had answers to all our questions, top-notch service, generous and very, very good dishes, and delicious homemade cakes. The manager has great business and customer service skills. Just one waiter was a bit rude about a small incident that was ultimately resolved. They have a solarium area with deckchairs and umbrellas with stunning views. The young waiter accompanied us and gave us a choice of locations. He even cleaned everything before we lay down. We had a very pleasant day with the family.

An excellent meat grill at high altitude.

Exceptional polenta concia! Definitely this place's signature dish... the homemade cakes are also very good. They don't reserve in the summer, so I recommend arriving early to be sure.

Quality, courtesy, and availability. Don't miss the summer or winter "paellino" (a traditional dish from Grangia).

The right place for a break at altitude, in winter and summer. September 2024 Historic refuge at Pian del Sole. You can get there by chairlift, by car and on foot. A short and healthy walk of about 3 km will take you to over 1500 meters. Up there you can enjoy a wonderful view. But above all the climate is fantastic in this period. You can start either from Campo Smith or from Fontana Giolitti (tough route). Courteous and friendly service. Good and well-made dishes. You can rent an umbrella and two deckchairs for €10. They have recently finished renovating the little house next door which they rent out both in the summer and winter.

I had a truly wonderful day at La Grangia restaurant in Barnonecchia and I can't help but recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect combination of healthy food, a welcoming environment and impeccable service. The restaurant has a warm and familiar atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a relaxing lunch or dinner. The food was extraordinary: very fresh, prepared with high quality ingredients, and perfect for those who want light but tasty dishes. I tasted a delicious carina salada, fresh and full of genuine flavours, followed by an irresistible apple strudel that conquered every palate. Of course, an excellent tasting craft beer accompanied the meal perfectly. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Each member of the team was courteous, smiling and attentive, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality was warm, making every customer feel at home. If you are looking for a restaurant that combines healthy cuisine, tradition and impeccable service, La Grangia is definitely the right place!

Perfect place to spend a day between sun and good traditional food! For those who don't like walking there is the chairlift from Campo Smith. Friendly staff and always available. We rented an umbrella with 2 deck chairs and ate there. The photos of the dishes speak for themselves, everything was very good. The only thing to be careful about is that the restaurant opens at 11:30 and you can't book so to avoid queues it's better to eat early! Small note on the bathrooms not very comfortable having the Turkish toilet but for the rest nothing to say.

É un ottimo ristorante a conduzione famigliare che offre autentica cucina del luogo con una grande coerenza rispetto al concetto di km0 a metà dell’impianto di risalita. Food: ottima scelta di primi, antipasti e secondi, consiglio vivamente il piatto di polenta al ragù che é qualcosa di stratosferico. Le porzioni delle portate sono abbondanti. Lugar encantador, buena comida y servicio, pero las instalaciones sanitarias son medievales. Los baños son literalmente un agujero en el suelo y mis amigas no pudieron usarlos. Estamos en 2025 , deberían actualizarse a baños reales. Evitaré este lugar en el futuro debido a esto.
