We chose to return to the Giara, which over the years has become a certainty. The best experiences are always accompanied by a pizza from Giara, that reassuring voice that pronounces "Good evening, la Giara" with Mr. Giara's usual warm and friendly tone is now part of the culture and history of our country and of ourselves, of our lives, which intertwine, move apart and then always reunite in front of the same pizza. Perhaps we are nobody to Mr. Giara, yet he is the center of our small Santermana reality. And the pizza... in the center it almost melts in the mouth, and then gradually becomes taller, softer, in an almost Neapolitan-style crust, and again, ends in a crunchiness on that fleeting border that characterizes perfection. We recommend a glass of Coca-Cola, to pick up that delicate note of sweetness from the sauce that makes the flavor of each slice magical.

The important thing is to be prepared. The restaurant currently has two shifts on Saturdays (May 2024), at approximately 8.30pm and 9.45pm. Knowing this, you just need to be aware not to waste time choosing pizzas from the menu, which often happens when you are with friends and the evening can focus more on conviviality than dinner. I have been to La Giara on several occasions. The pizza has a fairly high edge but not excessively, and the pizza seasoning is just right. Waiting times depend a lot on when you place your order, given that as mentioned the tables fill up almost at the same time around 8.30pm. Among the appetizers, a good thing is the breasts, a portion is very generous, it's a shame that the sauces are only ketchup and mayonnaise. I also suggest the bruschetta, crunchy and tasty. The menu should be reprinted as there are no indications of allergens, vegetarian dishes and frozen products.

L'importante è andar preparati. Il locale il sabato prevede attualmente (maggio 2024) due turni, alle 20:30 e alle 21:45 circa. Sapendo questo basta esser consapevoli di non perder tempo con la scelta delle pizze dal menù, cosa che capita spesso quando si è tra amici e la serata può metter al centro più la convivialità che la cena. Sono stato a La Giara in diverse occasioni. La pizza ha il bordo abbastanza alto ma non eccessivamente, e il condimento della pizza è giusto. I tempi di attesa dipendono molto da quando si fa l'ordine, dato che come detto i tavoli si riempiono quasi nello stesso momento intorno alle 20:30. Tra le stuzzicherie buona cosa sono le pettole, una porzione è molto abbondante, peccato che come salsine ci sono solo ketchup e maionese. Suggerisco anche le bruschette, croccanti e saporite. Il menù andrebbe ristampato in quanto non ci sono le indicazioni degli allergeni, dei piatti vegetariani e dei prodotti surgelati.

14/07/2024: Pizzeria in the area surrounding the Polyclinic... it's an honest pizzeria in prices... they always tell me it has an excellent ratio between quality and price... We call for takeaway... it seems absurd to me that if you ask for a "Ciccio" with vegetables they can't do it because they "put" the vegetables on the pizza raw!!! and therefore the fat would burn... because on the pizza with mozzarella or just with sauce what changes? What mass avoids burning? However, doesn't the fact remain that the vegetables would only stay in the oven for about a minute??? I can't explain it... for this reason I feel like penalizing (with one star and I gave the takeaway 4 stars! Because, honestly, the pizza I tasted was very good, balanced and the fact that it used good raw materials but above all it gave me real country rocket and not the one in a bag is truly an added value for me... I will hopefully change my review as best I can when I go to dine there... I always tell the truth

28/10/2024: So as far as the food was concerned, it was really EVERYTHING GOOD starting from the fries which were really light although fried and generous portions, then we took 2 Ring sandwiches and 2 pizzas (very good according to those who ate them). Here's the sore point that leads me to give 4 stars and it would be that the Ring sandwich costs €10 per 150g on the menu and has meat, bacon, egg, mayonnaise, lettuce, onion rings and peanut butter as its ingredients. I removed almost all the ingredients, leaving only bacon, salad and rings (which I had to request because 3 of the requested ingredients hadn't been added) because I'm intolerant. But the receipt arrives, not only has nothing been deducted and that's fine but instead of finding the price of €10 we find €11 written. Just as the price of the Messina blonde beer has also been increased, starting from €3.50, €4 was written on the menu. Then I would also have one thing to say about the location when you do the floors it is unthinkable to find holes of at least 10 cm where the leg of my chair ended up and I hurt myself quite badly at the moment. I will try to return because I repeat nothing to say about the food. The staff was also quite polite but we're not sure about the prices.
18/09/2024: Fast-food all' italiana. Menu con la giusta varietà di scelta. Prodotti tutti buoni in un locale piccolo ma accogliente. Da provare assolutamente
