Torno dopo un anno alla trattoria la Gatta ed appena uscito dal locale, mi riprometto di non far passare più tanto tempo per un altra visita. Il pranzo è stato spettacolare, abbiamo preso entrambi il menù degustazione pesce ed abbiamo aggiunto un fuori menù, preso una bottiglia ed un calice a testa extra. Tutti i piatti sono stati eseguiti in maniera impeccabile, usano un olio a crudo ottimo che esalata una cucina saporita, ma non troppo carica di sale. Il che mi piace molto, tutto gustoso, compreso il dolce che per il menù prevedeva una fetta di sacher. La cantina è da sballo, con ricarichi onesti e tanta competenza per chi vorrà farsi consigliare. Abbiamo chiuso con un caffè ed un distillato di Capovilla. Ci sarei tornato anche a cena la stessa sera, quindi a presto!!

Let's start by saying what a trattoria is!
The trattoria is a public establishment, mainly popular, typically Italian, intended for the sale and consumption of meals on site.
Some of these establishments may be renowned and sought after for the quality of the food and for the characterization of the preparations, almost always local-regional cuisine. The cheapness of the prices charged is an attraction of these places which is matched by greater simplicity in the service and furnishings, sometimes also in the quality of the raw materials, but not in the quantity of the food offered!
Having said that, let's start talking about this restaurant:
Upon entering it looks like a small restaurant but with the owners who welcome you it seems that you are in a familiar environment... the menu is divided into 6/7 choices of starters, 8 first courses and equally second courses! I am not very satisfied with the type of menu presented! Maybe I was expecting something more (thinking it was a real trattoria)! We decide to take only the first courses as the appetizers already in reading do not satisfy us (perhaps we were expecting purely trattoria appetizers since they should be) but when we asked for a platter of typical cold cuts and cheeses we were politely told that we could only order chemo which was written on the menu (so no chopping board). The choice of wines was beautiful and interesting, because after ordering the first courses and explaining the type of wine we wanted to drink, we were given three types of wines with (accurate) descriptions and prices. Let's go to the actual lunch: we took tagliatelle with ragù for the children which were very good, for 3 adults we took pasta with octopus and asparagus (there wasn't much choice other than Bolognese ragù) and another person took pasta with tomato sauce with buffalo ricotta... starting by saying that only 2 dishes with octopus and asparagus arrived and not 3 (forgetfulness since he hadn't marked the order but kept everything in mind), those that arrived were a little ahead of cooking, especially the one with tomato and buffalo ricotta. The other missing dish arrived after about 10 minutes (the cooking time of the pasta), but this time far behind in cooking. I always say better than al dente, but this one was way behind! It doesn't matter anyway it was eaten and paid for! In my opinion the prices were perhaps a little high if it weren't for the quality of what we ate (the bread was excellent but with €3 cover charge per person it had to be). I had high expectations given the reviews! Maybe we've had a bad day! But next time I will definitely look for a restaurant of this name!

Evidently, as I have two black cats and have lived with them for many years, Obama and Otello, entering a restaurant called La Gatta arouses in me an innate and profound emotion as well as sympathy. The friendliness is determined above all by the manager, a very nice "creature" who shows up with a tie almost worthy of pop art. The food proposal is both meat and fish. We ventured onto the fish, where we recorded a truly interesting sequence of offerings. Clearly meat also has its dignity, but this depends on personal tastes. Adequate choice of wine. The bitter finish is exquisite, the name of which unfortunately I don't remember.
