We had dinner with the family, eating pizza. The location was pleasantly quiet, the staff were friendly, and the pizza was very good. Prices were average but not excessive. They were excellent. Recommended!

The food was great and the service from Carolina the best we had in Florence, she was so patient even though we did not speak Italian. If we go back to Florence for sure we will go back

We were looking for a restaurant with good meat, and on the recommendation of a friend, we came here. We were very pleased! I must say that the service was also quite quick. I highly recommend it!

Buca Lapi

24/09/2025: Buca Lapi was the food highlight of our visit to Florence. Every element of the experience was excellent. First, the service was stellar from the moment we arrived. Our server, Franca, was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and professional. She helped us choose a wonderful bottle of wine (picture included) and explained the menu in great detail. Next, the food was amazing -- we loved the pasta (tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms), chicken cacciatore, and Florentine steak.. Make sure you visit this restaurant when you stay in Florence -- you won't regret it (especially if Franca is your server).
14/09/2025: 5 stars for everything! The cannelloni at Buca Lapi were excellent! Impeccable service. Thanks to the kind owner who welcomed us and showed us to our table.

22/09/2025: Fantastic, unique experience. Dario is an engaging showman, and a talented chef and butcher. Highly recommended. You damn well better love copious amounts of raw and barely cooked yet world class beef! Considering all the Chianti straw bottle wine you can drink and delicious first and second courses, €50 per person could be the best restaurant deal in Italy.
21/09/2025: Carne Diem. Excellent place for meat, good staff, good value, friendly atmosphere, encourages socializing.
