We are staying in the hotel, which is amazing and the staff are lovely, but the restaurant is not that good.
It’s trying to be something it’s not and it could offer really good, better priced, hearty Italian food, but they are trying to go above that and are not succeeding.
Firstly the restaurant is quite “cold” looking.
Three of the four staff on duty were nice, one was almost downright rude.
The food left you feeling more than hungry and it’s overpriced.
We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which they forgot to bring.
The dessert (Tiramisu) hadn’t arrived after 15 minutes and only then were we told it had an ice cream part that had to be left out, or it would be too hard; that should have been said when ordered and not after, and only because we asked when it was coming!
We did not take it in the end (and please since when does Tiramisu have ice cream in it!!)
Such a shame as the hotel is great and we are staying for two weeks but have only had the one meal and have not been back.
