La Fornacella In Ercolano

Excellent pizza and extremely fast service. We had ten minutes to catch a train, and the waiter told us that he would have a pizza for us in five. Not only did he meet that timing, but the pizza was also very tasty. We had a margarita pizza and a Pepsi for takeaway for 8 euros, in under 5 minutes. I wish I would have bought 3 pizzas as they were so good.

The important thing, the quick thing, we missed the train to Pompeii but we hadn't eaten, in five minutes we had a delicious margarita to take away Quite a taste and a much more than correct pizza and also cheap (pizza + Pepsi €8)

Everything was very delicious and the blonde waitress was willing, cheerful and kind.

Una pizzería local en una rotonda. Muy útil si has estado en Herculano y vas a volver a la estación de tren - comer aquí, no en los más cercanos al parque arqueológico. Tuvimos buenas pizzas y una cerveza fría para un almuerzo tardío. Personal amable y servicial. Nota: Cuidado con salir de la carretera principal en las calles laterales en busca de ese restaurante especial escondido - lo hicimos: no había ninguno y no parecía v amable!

We came here to see Herculean ruins. It is not far from the train station it has decent Italian food. The price is not low, the food is decent, pretty standard, no surprises. We were in a rush to get to the ruins whilst this restaurant is more for people who can take their time for a meal. There are many more cheaper and faster restaurants closer to the entrance of the ruins.

We stopped for lunch by chance after visiting the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, it was a great surprise. Very good pizza, my dad had the Neapolitan soup, a delicious dish of vegetables and meat, my mum had the scialatielli with fried aubergines and salted ricotta, really excellent. Very good coffee. Friendly and helpful staff despite it being close to closing time.

Writing this review to make sure no one passes on La Fornacellla, absolutely the best food we had in Ercolano. We went to this place yesterday and left so satisfied with the food and service. Highly recommend the polpo alla luciana, a neapolitan delicacy for antipasto. With the primo you can't go wrong with anything seafood, there selection is super fresh and everything is cooked upon request so bear in mind the waiting times. We also tried the pizza, which was as usual here, very simple but full of flavors. Their tiramisu is top notch, too and the waitresses are very kind and helpful explaining dishes and lending the place a welcoming atmosphere. We shared most of our dishes to try more flavors as both of us really love Italian cuisine. Without question they already served us the antipasto with two plates, the pizza cut in half, the tiramisu with two spoons. This attentive service paired with stellar food really makes the place stand out, so instead of wasting time in other restaurants with half as good food and grumpy service, give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

A very nice pub, located at the roundabout in the immediate vicinity of the Ercolano Scavi train station. The food is delicious, I ate the Napolitana pizza, but the real, delicious bomb is the crocchette di patate and suppli made and sold there.
