La Fornace In Roma

We found this restaurant by chance before leaving Rome. It's a shame we hadn't seen it before. It's authentic and very good Roman cuisine at a reasonable price. Several famous people, including soccer players like Totti, have stayed there. If we return to Rome, we'll visit again.

Excellent lunch, top-quality food, generous portions, and a very reasonable price for the quantity (which isn't a given these days). We had cacio e pepe gnocchi, strozzapreti pasta with buffalo mozzarella and mint, baked potatoes and sautéed chicory, homemade tiramisu (like all the desserts), and coffee. Excellent service, excellent location.

After discovering this restaurant, we went there every evening. Excellent Roman-Italian food to suit all our different tastes (a wide variety: pizza, pasta, antipasti, meat, fish, dessert, and much more), fast and attentive service in a more informal and authentic atmosphere. By our second visit, they already knew what we were drinking. The fact that many locals eat here speaks volumes about the high quality and friendly, good service. Sitting relaxed on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant was part of the special atmosphere, partaking in the life of this neighborhood. (Although it looks very cozy inside, too.) The icing on the cake was the excellent value for money. If we hadn't ended our vacation at some point and gone home, we would still be sitting there every evening. Very good food at fair prices We had lunch here and were thoroughly satisfied. The restaurant offers solid, well-prepared cuisine – the food was truly very good and surprisingly affordable for the quality. A real highlight in terms of value for money! The only minor drawback: It was a bit too warm inside, probably due to the temperatures at the end of June. With a bit better ventilation or air conditioning, the stay would have been even more pleasant. Nevertheless, a clear recommendation – we would come back anytime!

Excelente comida tradicional italiana. As pizzas são excelentes e as massas também (espaguete, raviolis e risotos). Muito bom atendimento. Convém reservar se não estiver por perto.

La Fornacia est d’abord un restaurant familial où l’on trouve surtout des italiens. Il est donc typiquement italien. Nous y avons mangé deux soirs de suite et avons apprécié l’accueil et la nourriture. La cuisine est faite maison. Un sac est mis sur la table dès notre arrivée. Il contient le pain, mais aussi des biscuits à apéritif. Il est à noter que les murs du restaurant sont tapissés de photos qui inciteraient à en savoir plus sur son histoire et les personnalités qui y sont venues. Ça le rend encore plus typiquement italien. Nous recommandons ce restaurant, surtout donc si vous voulez goûter à l’ambiance et à la nourriture d’une restaurant typiquement italien en plein Rome.
