What a wonderful time we had in this little restaurant! Excellent products and a very good wine list. We were welcomed by a host who was particularly attentive to ensuring we enjoyed our meal.
The atmosphere transported us to the mountains!

An amazing, enchanting place. It is no secret you can eat and like a king in Italy, but Gianni and his team bring it to another level. In a time of more and more mass production and anonymity, La Fiaschetteria gives you a warm and personal experience. The place is small but cozy, some people will say it looks like a warehouse but for us it contributed to the ambiance. We liked it! We visited this place last February, and when we came back in June, Gianni simply recognized us. That means something. So 5 stars for ambiance and hospitality.
Than the food... It is unmatched. The real ´cucina Bergamasca´. Every plate comes with a story of how it was ´born´ and refined. And again, Italian food is almost good at every streetcorner, but Gianni´s dedication and enthusiasm gives it even more flavour. And yes, sometimes you will have to wait a bit longer and yes, sometimes you will hear a microwave. So what? Dining like this may take time, they work the place only with the two of them (and they work really hard) and a modern kitchen is simply not possible in a place like this. Wich is also mentioned on the website. So no suprise here.
In short, if you are looking for excellent and honest food with a personal touch, away from the touristic cittá alta, this is the place!

I've been to Bergamo twice, and La Fiaschetteria is always on my list for dinner. Gianni really cares about local food and wine, and his service is second to none. The atmosphere and attention to detail is incredible, and the meals I've had at La Fiaschetteria have been awesome examples of the local alpine farmers and producers. Gianni knows the producers personally and makes excellent recommendations. Everything is carefully curated, and I can't wait to get back for another meal. We also had two children with us for one of our meals, and they loved the raclette! If you want to eat a great meal that is not only unique but reflects the incredible terroir of the area, visit Gianni at La Fiaschetteria!

At first glance, the stunning place captures your attention. The flavors in everything we ordered were very delicate and you absolutely must try their own cheeses, which are aged in caves. The wine list is excellent, allowing for perfect wine pairing. The hospitality is exceptional. It's worth taking a trip to Bergamo just to visit this place again.

My boyfriend and I celebrate every anniversary here, and now that we live abroad, every time we return to Bergamo we stop by Gianni's for dinner.
The passion and dedication in the search for ingredients and dishes combine with the privacy and intimacy of a small restaurant in the heart of Borgo Santa Caterina. Gianni explains each dish in detail, listing the origin of each ingredient, methodically searched for in the territory. A *bowl* of wine to accompany as tradition dictates, the flavors take you on a walk in the Bergamo mountains, tasting authentic Alpine cuisine.
I recommend my favorite dish that I order every time: salted sardines.
Thank you Gianni for your availability and kindness every time, I can't wait to stop by your house to eat at your place again!

Breathtaking food, wine and atmosphere! One of the most genuine regional Italian cuisine you can find. On my short trip to Bergamo I went there twice and it was one of the most memorable food experience I had in Italy. You can feel the passion that drives this place and it makes you wanna come back.

Esta es mi segunda vez aquí, y planeaba regresar a Bergamo con este restaurante como parte del itinerario. Con solo alrededor de dieciséis asientos en un espacio tenue pero cálido, da una sensación de solera. La comida es excelente como siempre —su exquisitez no radica en su presentación ni en su cocción, sino en su preparación—, la forma en que se envejece, se cultiva o se deja fermentar antes de servirse. De hecho, nuestra cena se calentó principalmente en el microondas, pero esto solo elevó el sabor ya presente en el plato. Teníamos las sardinas y el cordero que estaban rebosantes de sabor. También tuvimos tres tipos de embutidos y queso (recomiendo encarecidamente el queso de su propia gruta) , todos los cuales nos fueron explicados por el chef. También nos dijeron cómo comerlos (que deben ir primero o último) para mejorar nuestra experiencia gastronómica.
De hecho, lo que más aprecio de este lugar (aparte de la deliciosa comida) es el tiempo que se le da a cada plato, no solo sus sabores, sino también sus orígenes, su historia. Si estás buscando un lugar para sentarte y comer, entonces esto no es para ti. Pero si prefiere comer la comida tradicional de montaña mientras conoce más sobre el territorio de Bérgamo, los lugareños con los que colabora el restaurante, así como los productos de las áreas vecinas, con la garantía de un estómago lleno y más que satisfecho, le sugiero que pruebe este lugar. No es barato, pero creo que vale la pena.
