Perfect.. such friendly staff. Gianni really knows his stuff. I booked a table via email, It was easy and painless.. we were greeted by Gianni, who is a really friendly and easy-going character.. He explains a lot, and you can really feel his passion for the food he serves. Everything was locally sourced and felt really authentic. If you ever go to bergamo, don't miss out on this place.. it's probably the most authentic experience you will have in town. I can't thank you enough for the warm welcome and the experience we had.. 6/5 stars. (I'm coming back)

This is a place like from another time, and that we felt incredibly privileged to have experienced for one night. Gianni welcomed us warmly and guided us through the extensive selection of cold cuts and cheeses, of which we especially loved the former. You could really tell the quality of the product and the love that went into the selection of each of the raw materials. I adored the coppa di testa (also eaten warm upon Gianni's suggestion) and the leg of lamb but also the prosciutto, coppa, bresaola and salami were beautiful! The cheeses showcased the region's astounding variety; admittedly, not all of them were to our taste but it was still great to get to know about them and the passion of our host. Both white wines we had went exceptionally well with the food. One thing I would criticize is the bread selection - I enjoyed the schüttelbrot and grissini (on their own mostly) but felt that both bread and focaccia, while keeping with the spirit of the establishment, were just not very good. The bread itself was very dense and reminded me of a homemade loaf without much gluten development (and salt), and the focaccia had a nice tang from the sourdough yeast but lacked the airiness and oiliness of a "real" focaccia. Nevertheless - just the cold cuts on their own were perfection and I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic custom-made experience through the alpine tradition and dishes of the region: Gianni is the perfect guide for it!

Natuurlijk is Bergamo een stad die het bezoeken waard is. Maar voor het eten en de sfeer van La Fiaschetteria zou ik er wel voor omvliegen.

One of the best dinners I’ve ever had due to the attention, care, and excellence in every part of the experience, from the food to the atmosphere of the place. My colleague and I each had a main course with cold cuts and cheese, and to help us decide, Gianni explained their selection with vivid eloquence and gave us his suggestions according to our taste. And boy, was the food divine. The prosciutto crudo was almost melt-in-your-mouth soft, and another that had a hint of orange was incredibly rich and complex in flavor. The main courses which my colleague and I shared were also excellent—I had the lamb and it was tender and aromatic. We ended with cheese that they age themselves and the texture was something else. One had so many layers, even a kick of spice to the nose as a finale—which I liked. I wish I had more space for dessert but I am sure there will be another time for that. I am not from Bergamo, but I would love to return to Bergamo to visit this place another time. Thank you for an unforgettable dining experience.
