Small but cozy restaurant in the heart of Florence

Typical Tuscan cuisine in a rustic and welcoming setting in Florence's historic center. The staff is friendly, witty, and yet professional. The authenticity is also evident in the excellent and generous dishes, which the staff is happy to recommend. The only downside is the coffee, which... shame.

During our visit to Florence, we discovered La Fettunta, an authentic and characterful restaurant in the heart of the city. As soon as you enter, you immediately feel the atmosphere of a true Tuscan trattoria: simple, warm, and genuine. The food was truly exceptional. We sampled several traditional specialties, and everything was prepared with top-quality ingredients. The fettunta, of course, is a must: crispy toasted bread with fragrant Tuscan olive oil, simple yet extraordinary. The cured meats and traditional dishes were also truly flavorful and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always available, and with that genuine attitude that makes you feel immediately at ease. It's one of those places where you sit down to eat and end up truly enjoying the experience, without rushing. If you want to savor authentic Florentine cuisine, this place is a must-try. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered several pasta dishes and Peposo (a meat stew). The Peposo was very good, but the pasta was incredibly greasy. The lasagnas were swimming in an absurd amount of oil; I've never seen a pasta dish so oily, it was dripping. I wouldn't order pasta here.

The portions are large, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

We arrived late in Florence and thought we wouldn't be able to have dinner. But after a 10-minute wait, we were given a table. Aside from the meat, which was delicious and cooked to perfection, the warm focaccia, and the fettuccine with sausage, the service from our waiters, Giuseppe and Mateo, was wonderful. Friendly, smiling, speaking Spanish, and attentive at all times, they made the dinner doubly special. We work in the hospitality industry and know that sometimes, even if the food is good, a cold service leaves a bad impression. Here, everything was a 10 out of 10, a reason to return. Grazie mille to the whole team. We will be back.

If you're in the center of Florence and want a smart break without investing half a day in a gargantuan lunch, La Fettunta is an absolutely strategic option. The location is super central, perfect for a quick bite between one cultural stop and another. The organization is efficient: even when there's a line, table turnover is quick and wait times are kept short. A great plus. The food is good, honest, and consistent with the menu. Don't expect a life-changing gastronomic experience, but solid, well-crafted dishes are. Important note: the portions are decidedly generous, in my opinion. The real added value is the service: friendly, professional, and well-trained staff. You can sense customer care and smooth management even at peak times. It's undoubtedly a recommended stop if you're looking for efficiency, discreet quality, and a dynamic atmosphere in the heart of the city.
