La Fedda Rossa was our base for a 2-day vacation in the beautiful Matera. We were blown away by the exquisite dishes and the quality of the ingredients used.
Below are photos of the dishes: breathtaking cruschi pepper cones, incredibly delicious meatballs with a lemon potato sauce that I can't even begin to describe; the pasta dishes (strascinati and orecchiette alla materana) were phenomenal, not to mention the Ciccio bruschetta and the berry cheesecake.
I highly recommend the place, especially for the kindness of the waiters, who made us feel right at home!

We had dinner with friends at this restaurant. The food was typical of the area, very well cooked, and the waiter who served us was very good and knowledgeable about his recommendations. A very positive experience.

This family-style restaurant is located in the modern part of Matera. We ate on a pleasant terrace. The service was friendly, prompt, and quite welcoming. The first course of the house "tagliere" was very generous, based on various cured meats and cheeses. It was so abundant that it could have been served as a single meal. We found one of the two pasta dishes excellent, while the other—orecchiette al tegamino—was somewhat heavy and difficult to digest.

Cibo tipico buonissimo e davvero gustoso. Locale in centro molto accogliente e pulito. C’è una struttura all’aperto ma noi abbiamo preferito andare all’interno perché c’era l’aria condizionata per il caldo.
Servizio ottimo e veloce e cameriera molto gentile, premurosa ed esaustiva nel descrivere i piatti tipici. Molto consigliato!!!
