We had an amazing dinner at "La Fastuchera"!! It's sicilian cuisine, with many fish based specialties! We tried several of their dishes, and we liked everything, especially the "involtini di pesce spada" (swordfish) and the caponata! Cherry on the top the "canollini" desserts which were mouthwatering, even in sicily you can't easily find such quality! If you haven't yet, you should definitely try this hidden gem!

È ormai la seconda o terza volta che torniamo in questo locale molto accogliente, che già all'ingresso ti dà la sensazione che sei nel posto giusto. Il sorriso della signora che ci riceve ci conferma che, sì, abbiamo scelto proprio bene. I piatti che ci vengono serviti sono un tripudio di gusto e delicatezza. Che dire? Complimenti! Ci rivedremo di sicuro

Alessandra will make you feel like a king!!! The wines he offers are beautiful and he knows practically all the producers he has on his list. A beautiful reality in the Zaragoza district. Also very, very good dishes. If you pass through Bologna you must stop by.

Nos encantó todo. Pedimos una selección de platos y estaba todo delicioso. Nos encantó el menú limitado. Significa que todo está recién elegido y cocinado. Servido con gran cuidado, conocimiento y amor de todo el personal. Mi comida favorita en Bolonia hasta ahora y hemos reservado de nuevo antes de volver a casa.

05/06/2025: Excellent Sicilian cuisine restaurant in Bologna. Very good octopus with potatoes, not the usual octopus. Then the stuffed squid which is like a trip to Sicily. A spectacle for the palate. Good rosé sparkling wine by the glass. Excellent lemon sorbet with mint. Delicious zibibbo passito which is difficult to find (flavors that I have not tasted for 15 years). A place with a perfect and relaxing atmosphere with jazz music. The owner, Attilio, with extraordinary courtesy.
04/06/2025: The star less on the food is a whim...you have already done a miracle to take us in 17 by booking an hour in advance...you couldn't also prepare the stuffed squid for everyone...your workhorse .. For the rest there is nothing to say...fast service, friendliness that is a trademark and dishes that explain why you are so much appreciated in Bologna for several years now...you have satisfied our requests and "upended" your room to welcome us and without warning ..you are good and know how to do your job .. The price is right especially for the quality of the ingredients and the experience in treating them...

LA GIARA NUOVA RISTORANTE OSTERIA CUCINA SICILIANA

22/08/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during lunchtime and were greeted with a warm welcome, the same warmth we later found in the dishes rich in flavors from Southern Italy and beyond. The gratinated scallops, the cuttlefish, octopus, and vegetable salad, the scialatielli pasta with mussels, clams, and cherry tomatoes were excellent, and we finished with the authentic Neapolitan baba, while the rice cake was made according to the authentic local recipe (delicious). The prices may be a bit high for the dishes not included in the daily menu, but we were satisfied with the quality and quantity and highly recommend it.
22/08/2025: Being French and passing through the region, we stopped in for the evening, as we couldn't find any other restaurants open in the area. We were warmly welcomed, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly; they even offered us focaccia with an aperitif. I highly recommend it; the dishes are simple and delicious, the meat cooked to perfection, and the pizza and pasta are excellent.
