La Fastuchera In Bologna

We only had a few glasses of wine, but they're great, they give excellent recommendations because they know a lot about wine. I promise to try the food next time.

We arrived in Bologna late in the evening and found this wonderful, quaint trattoria near our accommodation. The food was fantastic, the excellent wine selection, and the competence and warmth of our lovely host, Alessandra, were exceptional! Truly a lovely, authentic experience!

On the recommendation of Sicilian friends, we decided to try the cuisine at La Festuchera. A little place quite different from the norm, not because of the decor or anything else, but because of a looong corridor—not intentional, I think, but simply because of the structural design of the historic building. Nice and quaint. Just as good and quaint, their cuisine is truly exquisite; the only thing is, the portions could be a little better. The courteous, friendly, and helpful staff pampered us from the moment we walked in, which isn't always a given. The price is above average, but for the quality, it's in line with the product offered. What can I say? I recommend it 😊

They have four gluten-free dishes, and several can be adapted for you. They also have gluten-free bread. The waiters are charming, and the food is incredible, perfect for sharing. They didn't have a gluten-free dessert, but they adapted one for me, so I could have some dessert. 100% recommended. Not very touristy.

A gem... if you're staying in Bologna, don't hesitate to eat at this wonderful restaurant. The food and the people who run this restaurant are delicious. Thank you for such wonderful work. These restaurateurs are a credit to Bologna, Italy, and the culinary arts.

It's one of my favorite places! Sicilian food and wine accompanied by warmth and familiarity. It can be done!
