La Farinata da Gianni In Acqui terme

This place is extraordinary, certainly a must visit when in Acqui!

Fantastic farinata while this time I tried the agnolotti del plin butter and sage!

First time for me: Classic trattoria, not particularly charming, beautiful wood-fired oven in full view. The cured meats appetizer was too thick, the specialty cheeses were truly excellent. The classic farinata wasn't special, while the robiola one could do with more attention (served like a sandwich). Pan pizza, not cooked in a wood-fired oven, has a biscuity texture. Good, but not pizza. Classic desserts, standard bunet, and hazelnut cake like all the others. The house wine, Barbera, was drinkable. The coffee was a bit soggy. Once again, everything was washed in the washing machine... You leave feeling like a pancake... Unfortunately, like many places these days. I tried it once, but I don't think I'll return.

Old-fashioned trattoria, good food and stellar farinata, ok service and staff.... only flaw: the chairs are very uncomfortable.

I've bought takeout farinata several times. The wait time is very short, the farinata is excellent, not greasy, and cooked well. The prices are fair. Recommended based on my experience.

The best farinata I've ever eaten...plus, I've loved it since I was a child...
