La Faja In Montella

Top experience What's better than clean air and wholesome food? If you also think like me, then Faja is the right place for you. Splendid restaurant nestled on the Verteglia plain, where time seems to stop and you can truly appreciate how beautiful nature has to offer. The place looks spartan, very similar to a mountain hut (the veranda surrounded by nature is splendid), the environment is warm and welcoming, as is the service, which is courteous and truly friendly. The menu is obviously a tribute to the territory: Irpinia cured meats and cheeses, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, wild boar ragù and much more. Everything is truly delicious and above all, "homemade", as are the desserts (I highly recommend the tiramisu). In short, a stop not to be missed. NB: the bill is really modest!

We went yesterday November 9th for lunch. Nice and welcoming place, quick service and delicious food. Vincenzo the owner is friendly and approachable, very positive experience and excellent value for money, we will definitely be back!

Abbiamo scoperto per caso questo posto e ne siamo rimasti stupiti. Piatti davvero super saporiti soprattutto i ravioli al tartufo erano di una bontà unica, anche le altre portate davvero molto molto buone. Super consigliato

Everything is always very good, from starters to desserts, all seasoned with a very pleasant climate without the annoying humidity. Absolutely worth trying

I hadn't booked but I went there on Saturday morning at 10am and asked for a table for two at 3pm and they told me there would be no problems. Well, that's how it was! We arrived just at 3pm and they seated us right away. Kind and friendly staff, excellent value for money (two first courses, a second course of mixed meat 4 pieces divided in two, a portion of chips divided in two, two bottles of natural water and a dessert divided in two, total cost 40 €…EXCELLENT!!!) The owner is a really nice person and the service was also quick. The quality of the food is good and above all genuine. Advised

Wonderful place. Immersed in nature. Free large parking, free children's playground. The quality of the dishes is high. All prepared ad hoc and with excellent raw materials (but the area offers high quality products). Friendly staff and quite quick. The owner is a great character, funny and friendly. After all, he's a motorcyclist too ✌🏻😜🏍️ ADVISED. We'll see you again soon

We were here for mid-August, nothing to say about the food and service. The only negative note is that although we had booked well in advance (about 10 days) our table was located near the bathroom from which a nauseating smell came. Among other things, the bathrooms were practically unusable as they were dirty. We especially liked the starters and main courses.

Il luogo: veramente caratteristico, un altopiano fresco e non inflazionato, purtroppo, come sempre da queste parti, abbandonato a se stesso. La location: niente di che. Un casone adibito a ristorante che sembra uscito direttamente dagli anni 80 e, da allora, probabilmente, mai rinnovato. Il cibo: leggermente superiore alla media della zona (ristoranti o trattorie con prezzo medio 30 euro a persona della provincia avellinese) dove vige la convinzione che basti accendere un fuoco per fare una grigliata. Tagliata di carne di buona qualità ma, ahimè, cotta malamente e non uniformemente (una parte molto ma molto al sangue - per non dire cruda - ed una mezza al sangue ). Pasta varia in tegamino al forno raffazzonata ma mangiabile, sembra, comunque, un piatto "casuale" senza una logica propria. Il "parco giochi" per i bambini: un orrenda accozzaglia di giochi in ferro con molti pezzi rotti e arrugginiti. Si rischia l'incidente serio! Attenzione! Infine, attenzione al bestiame libero che invade la strada, si rischia ad ogni curva l'incidente. Insomma: se siete tipi facilmente accontentabili e di bocca buona il posto fa per voi altrimenti se cercate cibo locale a km zero e di buona qualità e preparazione andate altrove.
