A good restaurant, I personally didn't like the food that much and the slightly high price

A restaurant overlooking the square. A very charming entrance with a distinctive style. Beautiful cabinets and exposed steel screens. Friendly and welcoming staff. We had lunch there while visiting the Christmas markets. Quick service. Good, well-prepared food. Average prices.

A good option for a quick but satisfying meal. The self-service format doesn't compromise food quality, although it's true that you sometimes have to heat up the dishes. I don't recommend the à la carte menu.

Booked through The Fork. The small room downstairs has a brick ceiling, is clean, and the service is fast and impeccable. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the dishes are small, but all delicious. I highly recommend it!

A nice restaurant I frequent occasionally. Generally, I've always had a good experience, and this time, too, the food was delicious and the waitresses were very good. It's a shame about the truffle dish; we wanted to try it, as we usually do this time of year, but unfortunately, the dish arrived with the truffle already on it, without letting us see it or scraping it off in front of us. For those who aren't used to eating it, it's good manners to bring it to the table, show it to the diner, and then scrape it off onto the plate in front of the diner. Anyway, a good restaurant.

This restaurant in the center of Asti offers an old-fashioned atmosphere and a warm and friendly service from the staff. The food is served hot, plentiful, and delicious, with a good quality/price ratio. Definitely worth considering if you're in the area.

We had lunch at Ristorante La Douia as a group of six, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. The restaurant was quite busy, which immediately gave us the impression that it’s somewhat of a local gem — and judging by the number of locals dining there, that certainly seems to be the case. La Douia offers both a generous buffet option and a full à la carte menu, which gives guests a nice variety depending on their appetite and preference. We decided to order à la carte, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. From the antipasti to the main courses, everything had that unmistakable homemade Italian touch. There was a small mix-up with the antipasti and primi piatti, but the staff handled it with professionalism and kindness. The service overall was very good — friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant being quite full. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with that authentic, local charm that makes you feel instantly welcome. It’s the kind of place where you can tell people come back again and again — not just for the excellent food, but for the genuine hospitality. All in all, Ristorante La Douia is a place we would absolutely return to. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely lunch, a cozy dinner, or just want to enjoy true Italian cuisine among locals, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

We went to lunch at La Douia with reasonable expectations, expecting a classic, traditional restaurant, and we were completely blown away! The experience was truly positive, starting with the service, with extremely friendly and conversational waitresses who explained the thinking behind the dishes served and brought to our table. The quality of the food is very high, and you can taste the attention to quality ingredients. Bra sausage, veal with tuna sauce, and soufflés were truly excellent as appetizers. The plin and spaghetti aglio e olio with Fassona beef tartare were truly excellent, with distinct yet overall balanced flavors. The highlight, however, was the stewed cheek, incredibly tender and rich in flavor. The desserts were all excellent, but the panna cotta, which we were quite skeptical about, was especially delicate, sweet, and velvety. In conclusion, a highly recommended restaurant. If you're in the center of Asti, stop by—it's worth it!
