La Dolce Vita In Monopoli

Had a great gluten-free cacio e pepe here. The real star of the show was the specially prepared hot gluten-free bun that came as a starter. Great view of the bustling courtyard. Portions could be larger for much you’re paying.

The food was quite good but nothing special. Prices were a bit high (for 2 people, €50, with two starters and a dessert). It's a real tourist place that gets "lured" into the trap. The staff isn't very friendly and is very annoyed with working and since it's June I don't want to imagine it's high season! That said, if you don't see dishes that you really want, look for another cheaper restaurant that's worth it.

Value for money not adequate. Attractive location for its position in the characteristic Piazza Garibaldi and for the modern furnishings inside, but only a decoy, the tourists. The service is absolutely low level, even for the simplest of restaurants, for the attitude of the waiters who are not very professional. The characteristic "coccio" for which we expressly went is also all scenery to the presentation: the pacchero rigato cannot even be bought to make at home and the cooking was "rubbery". The fish sauce is also too liquid and absolutely not very tasty. The desserts are simply banal. Everything is not very incisive. Personally, I will not return to a restaurant, like this, where there is less care for the cuisine than I can have at home. Failed.

All very good, price a little high but fair for the location.

Great, food. Very friendly and professional waiters. The music on the terrace is so loud that you can't talk at the table.

We had dinner here and it is a very excellent restaurant. We really enjoyed the food and the service was always attentive and quick to help if you needed something like bread. Portions were great and the food was of a very good quality and upscale. The only annoying thing was that our starter was served with the main course. Of course it wasn't planned that way and should have been questioned.

Service a bit slow. Portions large, especially the fish soup. Fish cooked somewhat unimaginatively in tomato sauce. However, it could be improved into a really good fish stew with balsamic vinegar, pepper, salt and the softened croutons. For that €31.50 because it was really 450g of fish I think is excessive. It was really too much and you could have used 300g of fish. 10% for service was automatically added.

Monopoli is a beautiful city and this restaurant is located in a very characteristic square. The food was good, although the price was slightly above our expectations. The presentation of the pasta is very nice.

Came here because we saw some previous reviews said they offered gluten free pizzas. We arrived and they no longer do any pizzas but they do offer all the pasta dishes as gluten free. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was so good. Would recommend for gluten free and seafood!
